It's mostly for the fact that they are Leftists that will always argue in bad faith and will never, under any circumstance stop pushing their propaganda, even to the point of openly calling for violence and genocide, hoping to attract the attention of law enforcement, and driving sane users away.
This position only works if you had banned people like DrJester and even Antonio for getting into endless bad faith slapfights with people that did nothing but drive people away regardless of their position relative to them.
You can't keep trotting out this line when you only enforce it sometimes. If your rules aren't enforced evenly, they aren't rules. They are suggestions and protections for people you like.
And yet not a single solitary soul has said a word to me about being driven away by Dr. Jester or AoV. Just that they hate them. The same can't be said about the Stormfags. Somewhere under 6 or so people have come to me on both Reddit and .win and said something akin to: "This place is filled with anti-semites, if you can't purge them, I gotta go. It's exhausting / they never stop / it's in literally every post / I didn't think it would be that bad, but it's really toxic / I can't just argue with them forever."
That's why VOAT ended up the way it did. Even the fucking Poal admins, who were some of the original VOAT admins said the same shit: they spiral wildly out of control, and it's the only thing they ever talk about, it becomes a complete shithole, typically filled with actual feds who also keep stirring the pot.
It's actually why they invented that cool user hierarchy system. Privileges in each section and forum-wide were dished out via your experience posting and approval. Unfortunately, it didn't totally help because the whole user base was basically former VOAT users who had nowhere else to go.
This isn't just bickering. This oppositional-dialectic poisons people's minds. The ideological incantations are so repetitive (intentionally) that it warps your perception of reality. Not too unlike what porn or gore footage does when over-used. All I've seen from AoV is him get into his usual grudge matches with specific people; not craft a meta-narrative.
