If some gluttonous loser is sad that she's not as hot as Tracer, she can go to the gym. Striving to better yourself is the way to defeat your insecurities.
Fat acceptance adherents believe that fatness is an immutable trait of a person rather than the result of eating more refined carbs than any human could even dream of at any other point in history and fucking over their metabolism.
There's mountains of think pieces written over the last two decades spinning a massive mountain of sophistry. My personal favorite is the argument that it isn't practical to lose fat because you have to deplete glycogen stores first (which is typically around 1700 calories, or the energy equivalent of half a pound of fat) which would be like thinking you can't run out of money in your savings account because you only pull money from you checking account.
What you just said about human history is part of my "Fat Privileged" trolling that I do.
Fat Privilege is the TOP privilege on the planet. It overrides all other privileges. It even crosses animal species. All animals must eat calories or die. To have such abundance that you can become fat means you have maximum access to calories.
It is literally about survival and Fat Privileged assholes are eating for three people a day in one body.
Reminds me of how Fremen were described at looking at the date palms in the Harkonnen estate on Arakkis.
To paraphrase: "The date palms take enough water per day to keep five men alive for a month. It's a disgusting display of wealth and disdain for life on this planet."
There is kind of a point that it's too late once you've become really fat.
You see people who have lost a lot of weight and the excess skin is deeply disturbing and gross. Maybe less hard to look at than just being fat, but certainly up there with it.
Of course the takeaway should be to not get that fat, or to thin out as soon as possible before the skin fully stretches, or to prepare fatties that they'll need surgery to remove excess skin. Not to pretend everything is all right because it'll get worse before it gets better.

At what point do we admit that immutable traits, while perhaps not the person's fault, can still be bad?
Especially if "thinness" is mutable?
Just run longer, fatty.
Glycogen stores are not very large, they can be burned out in mere hours of not eating. Minutes if exercising. They are usually stored in the muscle.
