One of my favorite media prevarications is referring to overwhelmingly negative feedback as "mixed."
See also: "controversial".
"Controversial" often just means "true, everyone knows it's true, most people agree, but it goes again the narrative and hurts our feelings."
My favorite: "received backlash"
AKA 5 crazies on Twitter with a combined 500 followers went ballistic. And 99% of people either approved or didn't give a shit.
Generous. Sometimes it's closer to zero than 500. With engagement to match.
Personally I like when they claim it has backlash, and the backlash is from actual extremists who find problem with everything in their particular corner.
Oh The Mary Sue didn't like the women in this one? Fucking shocker! Spike Lee complained about black dudes in someone else's movie? Oh lord that never happens!
I'm vouching for this; all of Florida's new laws have been labeled "controversial" by left wing rags
"Some people did a thing."
I'm sure they are investigating it as hard as the pedophiles they moved to Latin America.
Don't worry Catholics, I'm not saying your pedos, I'm saying your Church is run by Pedos who worship Liberation Theology.
You should probably break away before the Pope turns away from burned churches to suck the toes of an Islamist.
We'll, everything is run by pedos, so I guess we are in good company....
Declare the pope a heretic and break off.
God is Perfect, capital "P".
Something that was perfect continuously is more nearly perfect than something that had to change to become perfect, since it was perfect for more time, and has no history of imperfection. Therefore, any omnimax deity cannot be trans, as it implies changing states, when changing states from (or to) Perfection means non-perfection exists within the entity.
"God is hermaphroditic" could have a of logic-based argument, since God is Everything, but their argument is just... heresy for the sake of heresy, endorsed by a church.
Even the VC2 frauds can't easily handwave away such blatant heresy.
The Church will have a continuing problem with wokeness because a requirement for entering the the Seminary is "higher education" aka indoctrination. It's completely pointless and asinine as a requirement and only causes priests to be leftists as university filters anyone else out.
I wonder if Bishop Barron will have anything to say about this.
probably no, Barron is a bishop in California, and "God is Trans" was exposed in NY. It is really hard to see the clergy criticizing publicly episodes that happened in other dioceses.
