It's literally just a dub. My main reason I watch anything with subs and not just Japanese. Just an entirely different performance more often than not especially when you are used to your native language having horrible dubs.
I still can't believe they doubled down on the open world Garry's Mod shit. I might eventually buy it if the dungeons are actually dungeons this time, otherwise this will genuinely be the first Zelda that I have hard-passed on.
If you have a good enough PC: emulate it. I haven't played a current switch game on the switch in ages. On PC it's fine, some I can even play on the Steam Deck.
That's 100% enough, Ryujinx or Yuzu are the ones you wanna check out. Here for example is a great guide on how it works with Yuzu. When it comes to Firmware and Product keys(or decryption keys) you can find those all over the internet. If you wanna dump games, firmware and your prod keys yourself Yuzu's got a guide if you have a hacked switch.
It's pretty simple nowadays, equivalent to Yuzu's Ryujinx, yet another emulator for the switch. Sometimes Yuzu is better, sometimes Ryujinx. Usually you can play game day 1 on an emulator now for the switch at least. Dunno about the new zelda though, there's been talks about DRM but I doubt it's something that is gonna be impossible.
Just a heads up, this game can be had for the price of a Switch game voucher which is only $50.
The downside: they're only sold in pairs and you need an active online membership to redeem them (for a whole $6)
I grabbed a pair, used them on Advance Wars Re-Boot Camp (out in one week) and Tears of the Kingdom and saved $30. Both look great so day one on them doesn't seem like such a risk.
I’ll probably get this eventually, I actually got interested enough to finally finish Breath of the Wild last week. First impressions soured me on that game, but I eventually restarted it and enjoyed it quite a bit.
It’s going to be a while though, I have no reason to support it at launch.
Did you feel the same laziness I did when realizing how large the map was? After one or two towers the whole thing felt like a chore and I abandoned the game for a while.
Botw was bad. Cringe va, horrible difficulty curve, empty world, no enemy variety, no real dungeon, dumb mechanics(let's reward you with a secret weapon that will break forever after 10 hits), boring repetitive minimalist piano music.... Literally the worst Zelda which explains why this clown world is in absolute love with it. I guess you dress as a girl at one point and Zelda has a man voice so it's kinda worth praising... But seriously, it's bad. 0 interest in this sequel until I see any of things mentioned above fixed.
Still not a fan of Zelda's VA.
All I can hear is that whiny bitch of a Child Like Empress: Call my name!
Japanese audio track is the way to play.
Japanese is the original language where Nintendo's effort was put. Everything else is shitty dub-tier.

I tried giving her another chance with Age of Calamity, thinking maybe she's grown into the role. Nope, back to JP audio.
The Dorf is back.

Any worries I had about BotW 1.5 are gone.
Nintendo needs to update the Switch hardware. I am not going to play this game on my current switch that is for sure...

Any good guides on emulating? I have a 3090, I assume that can handle it.

I did it on a 1060. Just use Cemu.
