Eleven people were killed on Jan. 21 in Monterey Park in a predominately Asian American community after a Lunar New Year festival. The Asian gunman was found dead after apparently shooting himself after being surrounded by police in nearby Torrance, Calif.

NYC basically said they're "backlogged" 18 to 36 months on all license applications.
