The Berserk anime is overrated low-budget trash, though. Why are we kidding ourselves? Perhaps the manga was good, but the anime?
And who is the first from the left, top row? And the second from the right, top row? Is that Macross?
And where is Trigun? Or Akira. Or Ghost In The Shell. Or Battle Angel Alita. Or Ninja Scroll? Or Dominion Tank Police? Or one of the most famous mecha franchises out there: Gundam? Patlabor? Guyver? Nausicaa? Mononoke? Lupin?
Original anime where they still tried to use adults as leading characters, instead of adolescents.
This iceberg was made BY a normie.
The 1997 Berserk anime is one of the best anime of all time. You don't know what you're talking about.
There is a new 2022 higher budget anime being released right now anyway.
Robotech in America.
The 97 Berserk was sick. Everything that came after is shameful.
Idolm@ster was invented after 1997...
I mean the Berserk remakes.
Fun fact: The late Carl Macek openly regretted the changes he had to make to get that to air, according to Greg Ayres, voice actor and Macross fan.
Harmony Gold required heavy censorship to get into time slots for children's cartoons.
Sadly, yes, fuck Harmony Gold.
Light from Death Note. Recognize the artstyle.
Yep Macross. I would never call Macross normie tier, maybe Gundam but not Macross.
Old normies would know that as Robotech. Aired on normie stations AND the Scifi channel back in the late 80s, early 90s
The US version of Macross took 3 different Macross stories and wove them together into a seamless Robotech saga.
plucking of gray hairs intensifies
Ninja Scroll, Elfenlied, Rurouni Kenshin, Record of Lodoss War, Claymore.
OP is basically "anime in the last 15 years" and ignored most things before that. Which is fine, but hey...
Yeah, wanted to keep the image small.
A surprisingly large number of characters in your pyramid look exactly the same. The golden age of anime is long past. Instead you're focusing on industrial output with prefab elements that are only mildly rearranged in each iteration to hoodwink a receptive non-critical audience.
We talking the original anime or the more recent one with shitty CGI?
