Talk about getting high on your own supply. She's the literal first example of the "tiny women tossing around grown men" trope. As a superhero she is responsible for a lot of the things people hate most about female characters in modern fiction.
Oh and speaking of norms. She was an accomplice to Whedon molesting the other women in the cast, because of course a man who looks like that is a prolific pervert.
In case anyone who was unbanned from twitter wanted to toss that in her face.
He's jewish and identifies as "atheist" .... I guess so Wikipedia doesn't have to have the "Early Life" trope and leftists can say "See!!!" ... when it's all just pilpul.
The entire Buffy franchise is built on one single trope, and that is that Whedon imagined the stereotypical horror movie archetype screaming blond high school girl running away from the monster turning around and beating the shit out of him instead.
It's not bad, but I think it's also a show that hasn't aged that well... or at least, I really liked it when I was a teen, but it doesn't do anything for me now.
Joss really invited the modern "quippy" style of movie dialogue.
The Calisto Protocol has a 105lb tiny Asian woman throw around a 200lb muscular man.
It's ridiculous.
There is also a scene when she catches the 200lb man's arm to save him from a fall and hold-on to him for a while.
... Instead of a physics-compatible scenario where they both instantly drop down (if she somehow summons the grip strenght to hold onto him at the start, which isn't believable either ).

I know people who enjoy it but when it came out it wasn’t the norm. Now like you said it’s the template

I still have 3 days on my sentence. They really don't like you using the "homos" and "AIDS" in the same tweet
My lifetime ban for using multiple accounts to spam Leslie Jones with Harambe memes was not lifted.
You should test if GRIDS get you the same punishment. It is the original name after all

Jews gotta jew.
I don't think Whedon is Jewish.
Looks like what?

I haven’t watched it yet but I plan too. One of my favorite YouTubers is Nerdrotic and he loves it so I’ll give it a chance.

Says more about him than anything else.
To be fair, I don't object to this if the tiny woman canonically has super powers.
I object to it when they have it happen in something that's supposed to be grounded in reality.

Hopefully no one does object. Spider man is like canonically a tiny dude. It doesn't make sense he can throw guys around without super powers.
She's seems to be trying to appeal to Hollywood. Most likely she is angling for a role in a Marvel film. I can't think of any other explanation.
"the powers of the slayer" is the origin of girlbossing. That's the point here.
