Here's hoping. Stable Diffusion has been a blast.
The problem I see is AI being way too young to trust with managing anything, and also the ease with which someone could just program the system to output their own answers and pretend it came from AI. It could be a really cool tech for things like running NPCs in video games, but making important decisions that affect the health of society seems far too premature.
There are already AI products that do this, mixing generative responses in with scripted responses.
