One thing I have noticed in recent times since society opened up post lockdowns is that an increasing number of women are using the gym as the offline establishment to find physically attractive men for hook-ups and dating as a compliment to online dating. This is a pretty novel thing so I don't have the data yet to back it up but it is an observation I have seen and may explain the frustration of what men who do go to the gym seriously are stating. There are people replying back by telling her to go to a women's only gym but that defeats the whole purpose of why she is there.
