Every time I see shit like this I'm reminded that a 19th century prostitute who never saw the inside of a classroom wrote better English than our world leaders today.
Writing like how highschoolers speak is a defining feature for trendy or comedic news blogs. You also have to signal to your audience how they should feel.
I just hung out with a 7 year old who is more well spoken than these journalists.
Protect at all costs.
They have both parents, are not in public schools, and aren't raised by an iPad. It's quite amazing that it's all it takes, and quite sad just how unusual kids like that are anymore. I'm very lucky to have some badass parents in my extended family and I've gotten closer to them just because it's so much more fun.
They're against ideals, be it beauty or good writing.
They'll start acting like adults when they get out of college and enter the real world :)
Crocs having anything to do with fashion is a shock. This is just messed up.
And they will point to child beauty pageants as the same thing. At least I’ve seen them try that tactic. I don’t like those either but you’d think reasonable people could agree to not have kids doing drag shows.
Child beauty pageants are also grooming. Don’t play.
If you spend an afternoon dolling up a little girl to be ogled by adults, you’re a problem.

I don't agree with the Taliban on many things, but their stance against bacha bazi is one of them.
