You are telling me that Resident Evil, Halo, the new Witcher series, ROP, WoT and She Hulk have not been hits with the public?
I hardly ever hear someone say that a show is a must see anymore. I dropped Netflix and HBO, never had Disney + and not going to get it.
I've seen 0 shows advertised this year that would make me want to watch them, not even pirate them.
Harsh truth. Not even good enough to steal.
Yep. "Not even with a borrowed dick"
I still get that with Anime, which often does live up to its hype. Or is memeable enough or has a good enough waifu to be worth the sit down time.
And since weebs were built on piracy, its incredibly easy to always have whatever show available for free with easy.
The only good entertainment for me these days is some anime/manga/LN's, some indie/AA games and some youtubers. Mainstream is just a burning pile, painful to look at.
I still have hbo max to watch the older stuff but once I do I’ll cancel it. HBO used to have some great shows. Honestly I spend more time watching the free apps because they have a big lint of old content which is what I care about the most for tv (2014 and prior)
The only one I can think of is Stranger Things
Clearly they need more men kissing. NO! They must get more progressive! Men kissing little boys! Boys dressed in drag! In an adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation series!
The robots are now gay and trans.
Pacific Rim just took on a whole new meaning.
They could be booming if they were producing content that people actually want to watch. Not the peripheral streaming services, but the core ones.
Very true. They destroyed themselves.
Its quite telling that the only Netflix original shows I hear talked about in earnest are the serial killer genre. Which is a mostly woman oriented market, keeping it safe from most progressivism which might damage their porn.
That is an interesting strategy.
Who knew hiring a bunch of leftist faggots with 0 imagination beyond their sexual identity would be terrible for business.
They rose up thanks to lockdowns but it's very telling that the two other things that rose thanks to everyone trapped inside, podcasts and Vtubers, haven't faced a decline because they still cater to their audiences.
This is a self inflicted decline by people that can't help but virtue signal.
Maybe they should hire people who have more interest in telling a story than reflecting the world around us
Critical Drinker put it something along the lines: "people with an axe to grind rather then a story to tell"
Exactly
Yeah, there's nothing to watch. Shows are little more than background noise lately.
