People who have been put out of a job by the administration and can't feed themselves and their families while they're told they're privileged and the cause of all evil in the world, all the while jewish banks get bailed out with hundreds of billions of their tax dollars, end up... not liking that administration and voting against it? Those fucking racists!
Pelosi's family has been playing the identity politics card for decades. Her father was elected Mayor of Baltimore in the 1940s, and was quoted complaining about how everything was harder for him "because my name ends in a vowel."
No shit. I was recently out of work for a full year. It was kinda sorta fun for a week, and by the end I was ready burn down the world starting with me. And it wasn't even the free money. It was the feeling of literally being absolutely useless. Soon as I got a job, pep in my step, smile on my face.
Hmmm...no wonder the terminally online are fucked in the head.
I’ve been unemployed, on and off, most of my working life (a decade or so)…
It really, really sucks.
Unfortunately, this resulted in me taking some really shit jobs, with abusive bosses, several of whom really screwed me over. On one occasion (two, if you count a week’s unpaid training for a job I decided not to follow through with, because it was fucking awful), I actually lost money as a result.
In general, just… Not fun. Especially living in rural whoop whoop, where there wasn’t, and indeed isn’t, many options…
My life would be entirely different, if I had been given a longer-term contract for a decent job, any decent job, at any point.
But hey, life just… Doesn’t always work that way, I guess.
Not making excuses for myself. I’m just saying… I feel your pain. And unfortunately, the longer you experience this, the worse it gets.
I think, as great as hobbies and volunteer work are, you really do need to be either working at a paid job, or studying, or, as you say, running a company/small business/self-employed, or raising a family, to feel truly fulfilled…
I did the hobby/volunteer-y/activist-y unpaid thing, for years. It actually completely broke me. It’s just… It’s really not good, as a full-time thing, when you’re young/of working age…
Much like playing sport at the weekend is great, but I certainly wouldn’t want to do it full time, unless I was being paid…
For me, this is like, photography and other “creative” hobbies. Sure, they’re good for my “soul”, and I enjoy them, but unless I can make some money out of it..?
Just really not something I want to “devote” myself to, tbh…
But then I’ve never really had the 9-5, long term. Maybe I would feel different if I had, or if I… Had someone to come home to, lol.
It's not like they can leech off the taxpayer like women and blacks. Some people actually have to work for a living, foreign as that is to Nancy and Bathhouse Barry.
We're the single largest voting bloc in the country, by the way. If the situation were truly hopeless, their propaganda wouldn't be necessary. It's why we're constantly demonized in the media. Steven Sailer has written a lot about the White male vote over the years, and it's actually stunning that politicians refuse to try to increase their share of our voting demographic. They're actively discouraged against it, and advised by strategists to pander to women, blacks, other minorities, rather than court us or ever introduce any policies that would energize us to vote for them.
The goal is to get rid of us, so they are setting themselves up to be the default party for all the demographics that will replace us. They're playing the long game.

It's true that people usually get depressed and aimless if they're not carrying a load. An occupation stabilizes people.

Imagine the world on UBI.

It's almost like having no income while also having a constant negative outcome is bad for your mood or something.
We already knew this is how they think about us and our struggles, not just white men but all the peasants
But it doesn't make it any less disgusting to see it laid bare.
Sounds like the woman who took advantage of Harvey Milk's assassination to launch her career.
maybe you should be more respectful to your benefactors.
