It probably takes like 25 people to run Twitter.
CEO, a couple lawyers, 3 programmers, a few infrastructure engineers, some accountants.
The rest do something but it's all made up bullshit to give them something to do.
Plus the large layoffs at Facebook, Amazon, and Google, big time tech layoffs have been much in the news lately.
I hope all the H1B's get sent straight back home buh bye. Getting rid of that lot of pajeets will do much for the improvement of tech workings in the US.

Certainly the government isn't going to deport anybody. You might have people leave on their own.
The government doesn't even deport ALL of , or even close to all of, the illegals who have committed non-migration crimes in this country. If and when an H1-B's visa expires, he will be way at the bottom of ICE's enforcement list. I don't believe there is any sort of systematic enforcement of immigration for non-criminals. If they get arrested in a place that happens cooperate with ICE, they might get turned over. If ICE will even take them.
Worked with a whole company of them long time ago and there are a few H1Bs that are actually good at their job - not many but some. If we send them back then India gets a jumpstart on competing with us.
So Elon is doing the right thing by using battle royale to weed out the poor performers instead of doing blanket things like sending all the H1Bs home.

I'm still undecided, part of me wants twitter to crash and burn. I just don't have confidence that any media company can be fair.
What do you think happens if twitter fails? You think social media will just disappear, or you think something much fucking worse takes its place where anything even remotely countering the narrative is purged?
What do you think happens in a society where no debate, no disagreement, and only propaganda is allowed, knowing how easily people are manipulated and brainwashed?
It's still a massive win even if the only thing that changes with Elon in charge is that twitter doesn't censor the next Hunter laptop story that comes up.
Just having a Twitter that censors differently from the MSM/Google/Facebook that all censor in lockstep would be a huge boon, even if Elon uses it to pimp Tesla and make the 'premium experience' only work on Starlink.
