For that price it better be made out of only the finest free-range organic Hummingbirds, caught and hand plucked by nubile young maids in a remote rustic mountain village.

One hundred fuking dollars for a round cake, a dinner cake? Add To Cart not.

I am going to order a spiral cut ham, but it costs half of a cake. Gobsmacked

Yeah but even hams cost a lot more than they used to, now that they're being used by supermarkets to fill in empty space in the meat section.

Bought a bunch a couple years ago when they were on sale after Easter. I don't remember even seeing them on sale this year, and the cheapest I've seen them is about twice what I paid when I bought them all a couple years ago.

To think I balked at a $40 pecan cake last year. That for $100? It looks like a not frozen version of one of those Pepperidge Farm cakes.

You can buy a whole big ass pumpkin pie at Costco for $6.

Just learn to do it yourself. That one looks relatively easy.

This. Professional cake bakers definitely have their place- anything I tried to make with fondant would look like an episode of Nailed It. This is a relatively simple layer cake without decoration. As long as you follow the directions and have a decent oven, you'll be fine.

Fondant is fucking garbage anyways if you actually want to eat the cake vs just look at it.
