I get that there's an obsession within a large portion of the right with trying to beat the left at their own game, but to act as if this is a violent threat is pathetic
While I do agree that this drama is pretty weaksauce:
a) this is happening in Canada where Trudeau has 100% media control bought and paid for
b) Trudeau is organizing an astroturfed campaign with Taylor Lorenz-type crybully journalists pretending they are being threatened with death threats and violence from the right wing to rally support for a whole sweeping suite of censorship legislation including expanding FCC-like government control over content that creators and consumers post to social media, expanding hate crime thought policing, creating government licenses and funding for "government-vetted" journalists, etc.
At the risk of sounding like "imagine if the other side was doing it!!!", you know for a fact that if this exact tweet had come out of a conservative, news organizations across the globe would be front paging articles about this terrifying death threat and politicians would be drafting the Stop Conservatives From Murdering Everyone Act the next day.
I don't know if pointing out blatant hypocrisy is even reaching normies any more, but it's quick and easy. Might as well give it a go.
but there is so many real happenings you could (and should) be highlighting right now instead. like the Democrat who killed a Republican kid over politics, getting released on bail. a strategy I've seen many RW twitter accounts now do is "remember when [recent outrageous event the MSM is memory-holing] happened?". don't let the public forget about those actually important events.
making a fuss out of petty shit is just shooting yourself in the foot. by helping spread this you're basically acting as the controlled opposition that you rightfully despise.
I don't think normies, especially on Twitter, are ready for that kind of redpill yet. They're still struggling with the idea that maybe the KKK isn't actually killing one trillion Unarmed Black Men™️ per second.
Remember, the average 22 year old just came out of a 16 year long indoctrination course, eternally bolstered by Hollywood propaganda, and that's the baseline. It's far worse if they watch the MSM or if they're active on social media. They literally believe that white supremacy is a real and omnipresent threat in this country, because that's what they were told. Asking them to comprehend that leftists kill conservatives far more often than the reverse is like asking a toddler to learn calculus. Gotta start with the basics first.
okay, and how would it help things to pretend the phrase "shooting a lame horse" is a murder threat? it isn't, you know it isn't, and everyone who isn't culturally ignorant knows it isn't.
this just desensitizes normies to actual threats. unfortunately there are a lot of actual threats and even attacks against conservatives, so why not highlight those instead?

That wouldn't be especially effective an attack in Canada
This is an officially registered member of the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery. I am not allowed in the Gallery because I ask dangerous questions. This man shouldn't be allowed in the Press Gallery because laughs about shooting politicians.
"We also wish to issue a reminder that we all, journalists and politicians alike, hold the responsibility of promoting healthy and professional public debates,"
"The Press Gallery would like to emphasize that intimidation, in all its forms, is unacceptable."
"It is important to remember that it is not for politicians to determine who is or isn’t a member of the Press Gallery," the press gallery president said.
"The Gallery is a decision-making body independent of political interference and must remain as such."
There was no mention of any investigation or punishment.
The article linked under the correction quotes part of it:
“Yesterday during Question Period, I made an unoriginal joke about Garnett Genuis’ terrible performance,” wrote Dale.
“(Andrew Scheer) claimed that I called for Genuis to be shot—which I most certainly did not—and began the process of online intimidation through rage-farming.”
Dale went on to claim that Genuis was the one who owed people an apology and that he was being put through an “intimidation game” for being a journalist.
So I checked on Global's TikTok journal Rachel Gilmore who whines when someone calls her a cunt on Twitter.
She shared some comments from the Press Gallery distancing themselves from his comments but she made no personal condemnation of his rhetoric or calls for him to be kicked out of the gallery- or any punishment whatsoever.
One of the things I've always appreciated about working on the Hill is how you get to see, up close, that the majority of MPs really just want to help Canadians. They just disagree about the best way to do it -- hence the different parties
While things can get tense in a tough scrum or on the phone with staff when trying to get answers, I've always found a sense of mutual respect between journalists and politicians. I'm glad that's how this usually works. Our jobs are stressful enough as it is, eh guys?

Just Canada things.
I agree it's not a threat, but it's certainly inviting the thought that Poilievre should be shot.
New right, baby- we're holding the left to their own standards.
The left has standards?
For other people, yes.
Not even then. Here today, gone tomorrow.
Imagine feeling threatened by a milquetoast Conservative who wants to pass more firearm legislation without intentions to rescind any of the existing.
Just checked with Canada's #1 "MUH MEAN TWEETZ" TikTok reporter, Rachel "Gilly" Gilmore at Globalist Fake News: https://web.archive.org/web/20220922160245/https://twitter.com/atRachelGilmore/with_replies
No response to this call for violence on Twitter, but she is whining people pointed out she's a valley girl with an ear-bleeding vocal fry: https://web.archive.org/web/20220922160854/https://twitter.com/atRachelGilmore/status/1572967344992882689

Call me a glowie, I don't care.
Stop calling out hypocrites, start shooting hypocrites. I would dare to call hypocrisy the worst sin of all.
You can still call them out
CORRECTION Sorry, I thought he was mocking Pierre by calling him a "genius", he was actually attacking Conservative MP named Garnett Genuis.
https://tnc.news/2022/09/22/legacy-media-journo/
Mr. Genuis has called for him to be at least suspended if not kicked out.

The loser made a blog post doubling down on his comments. The archive I tried to make isn't coming up for me, but maybe this will work for you: https://web.archive.org/web/20220922221140/https://www.routineproceedings.com/2022/09/22/roundup-a-tale-of-two-rage-farmers/

Instead she makes up some nice about how she's super-nice to conservatives. Can't we all just get along, friendos? https://web.archive.org/web/20220922221658/https://twitter.com/atRachelGilmore/status/1573053535574495235
