... so why the mismatch between the area's prosperity (as indicating by the fact that the house prices are stupid) and the teacher's salary?

Would it not be better to fix that than institute some weird house-your-teacher scheme?

Also, given the way teaching is these days ... yeah, giving a teacher 24-hour-a-day access to children ... no?

Your post made me sad. Because any discussion surrounding untenable wealth gaps is immediately co-opted by commies. And the only real solution can never even be discussed because nationalism has been permanently destroyed.

When commies say eat the rich, they really mean removing that middling power base of people that aren't dependent on the regime.

It's thinking too small anyways. Rich is merely the accumulation of money. Wealth is access to goods and services. The Senior Executive Service and top ranks of the GS scale aren't necessarily rich, but they do have on demand access to any good or service available in the US.

Instead of eating the rich, I want to expropriate the wealthy. That justifies seizing the assets and dismantling everything from the CDC to Harvard to Blackrock.

Wealth is access to goods and services.

Travel as well. (or maybe that's counted as a service)

That justifies seizing the assets and dismantling everything from the CDC to Harvard to Blackrock.

Naturally we have to consider any negative consequences, like a loss of trust, but I'd be fine doing that to any corporation or state institution. Those aren't people with human rights after all.

The trust is already gone. There are people dependent on those institutions for their social position, and people who despise those institutions.

Travel is actually a right

Lol who downvoted me. Travel is literally constitutional right

I can get behind that they're underpaid. Who are they attracting? A proper community would want teachers living in it, comfortably. What's that cost in SF?

If the number is impractical, well there's your problem.

I can say they're underpaid without implying that I want to pay them well. I don't want to pay them at all. Which is kind of how it comes down. People that want to pay enough for education that their kids get a good education go to private school. Especially in SF. The taxpayers don't really want to pay what it would cost to coddle every retard that wanders into the city. Not that throwing money at is a good solution.

I guess what I'm saying is they're underpaid for what people claim that they want the teachers to do.

Public schooling is a commie system. It's weird that people think it's as American as apple pie.
