The polling in GR is always wrong and “purple”. The simple fact is the city is the most prominent in Michigan and has been due to 2 things. 1. Conservative Dutch philanthropy and 2. Not being Detroit
Who talked about polling? Biden overperformed by 8 points in the new district. So it will take a miracle or a wave for any GOP to win this seat.
And only 2 of 10 democrats won state legislature seats with 0 of 2 winning congressional seats in GR. Biden won because of suburban moms, who are now split after Hunter became public.
Also worth remembering that since 2020, there have been elections that have swung in the Republican favor by much more than +8 (Virginia being the prime example).
The Dems are still acting like its a forgone conclusion. Its entirely possible for them to lose this and have egg on their face. And they have no one to blame but themselves, since they are the ones who decided he was "so beatable".
