Politico Saying The Quiet Part Out Loud (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

Disgruntled career climbers organize a sewing circle to gossip about the big bad man who hurt their feelings and crimped their ambitions.

This is why women do not belong in politics--their methods of communication and coping always involve this sort of conniving and backstabbing.

The Jan. 6 committee hearings have been among the most dramatic and significant congressional investigations into the conduct of a White House in our nation’s history. They reflect months of research, painstaking work by investigators, and testimony from dozens of Trump officials, law enforcement officers and election experts. But a key component has been a small club of women who have provided critical testimony and created a support structure for one another to combat the intense backlash it’s produced.

A small club of women who have produced hearsay and technically sedition if they are lying…..

The small group includes a current and former member of Congress, aides long exiled from Trumpland and those who only recently decided it was time to make a break. In phone calls and text messages, they have shared tips on how to report social media harassment, passed along advice on safety and security measures — such as the benefits of wearing a baseball hat while walking through an airport — and calmed the nerves of each other’s family members.

Ah the deep state, a woman’s dream life

“It is a lonely space to come forward and part of it for me was to make sure that they knew that even though it feels lonely – they bully, they intimidate, they want to make you feel like there’s no one left in the world, that’s kind of the point – for me it was important for them to know I wasn’t going to waver on them and there would be others,” said Troye.

Know how I know she’s lying?

The “small, lonely girls club,” as one woman described it, is composed largely of former Trump aides who became disillusioned with his presidency. Griffin, his onetime communications director, resigned in December 2020 and has been critical of Trump since. Troye, who was a homeland security adviser to Vice President Mike Pence, broke earlier in the summer of 2020 over frustrations with the president’s handling of the Covid-19 crisis.

Even in positions of the federal government women can’t stop being children….

Hutchinson’s fissure came after Trump left office, when she was subpoenaed by the committee for her direct knowledge of what happened in the White House Jan. 6. Matthews, who served as the deputy press secretary under Kayleigh McEnany, broke with the Trump White House that day as Trump failed to calm the riots on Capitol Hill. Having found themselves largely in the same political space — persona non grata in the professional infrastructure through which they made their careers — they formed a quasi- support network of their own.

Oof Politico, direct knowledge means firsthand, then again we shouldn’t pretend you’re news

It wasn't Trump's responsibility to calm things down, but even so, he did everything he reasonably could which is to ask everyone to leave.

I hate these fucking commies.

The dude literally tossed his Diet Coke on the floor of the presidential car, jumped over the front seat, grabbed the steering wheel, and tried to drive it to the Capitol and tell everyone to go home! What more does she want?

Ever since I had it pointed out to me I can't help but notice it every time. Whenever they want to paint someone in a good light and have you sympathize with them they use weird ass angles with the camera below them tilted upward.

Whenever they want to paint someone in a good light and have you sympathize with them they use weird ass angles with the camera below them tilted upward.

It's a filmmaking technique called low angle. It makes them look taller and thus more powerful, in control, confident, etc. The opposite is high angle and it's used to make a character look small, weak, vulnerable, and not in control of the outcome.

It needs to be paired with some context since it can have different meanings depending on that though. Just look at the opening scene of FOTR, where Sauron enters the battle. The humans are shown as being very weak by comparison, and Sauron is shown as this huge imposing figure through use of these angles.

Whereas in the context of this picture it's meant to make you think that the woman is strong for standing up to Trump, that she's important, that she isn't desperately lashing out, etc.

Why do you hate women? It feels weird asking that because it's usually something snarky shitlibs say, but you did unironically claim to hate women.

I don’t hate all women, but to look at what the “female rights” really are is the complete removal of all personal accountability at the cost of anything else. Any woman that supports that is essentially a child. Any woman that would seriously consider themselves my equal while at the same time saying I have no say in anything involving women is a child. The vast majority of women are conditioned children, just as a good portion of the male population are conditioned to be essentially atms.

Their "rights" movement isn't much different than any other. Avoiding any accountability or duty to society while still enjoying the benefits of it is what liberalism is all about! The only exception that jumps out to me is male suffrage because men bargained for that based on having duties and expectations. I'm skeptical of the utility of voting, though anyway.

Once again rights with no recourse, they are children, have always been treated as children and now they are demanding we keep coddling them when then provide nothing. The biggest difference between women and every other group is they demanded and succeeded in winning the right to murder without impunity and doing so to a degree that makes communism blush.

He thinks Peggy McIntosh invented racial politics in the late 1980s...

Who? There are hardly any white women are explicitly racialist. It's a male-dominated scene by a long shot.

Robin DiAngelo the most prominent race huckster currently aside from Coates and Kendi? Ruth Frankenberg is credited as one of the founders of whiteness studies. Peggy McIntosh as you noted before. Women make up the majority of race studies in general as well.

I thought you meant only right wing racialists. My bad. Yes, there are plenty of white women, but there are plenty of men and minorities. The pioneers of white privilege talk were Ignatiev, Dubois, and Allen, all males, a Jew, black, and white, for example. If you you look later, there are Crenshaw and Bell as early CRT scholars (black female and black male). You guys just ignore the men.

One thing his administration proved is that Trump is a horrific judge of character and sucks at hiring.

If DeSantis isn't his VP and Trump doesn't cede all hiring and appointment decisions to him I'm voting Giant Meteor 2024.
