I think I feel so strongly about this because when I look back, I could have become a simp. I was a "nice guy" in highschool, I was friends with girls (without even a sniff of getting laid), and I didn't get why the guys who were popular with the girls were popular.
In college my social groups (nerdy) were pretty much zero girls. I felt hopeless at times. I was getting desperate, but I somehow managed to figure out how to be a mature adult male. Had I been going through college today, I could EASILY see myself simping out to whatever ethot of the week. Facebook was first released while I was in college, so the scourge of social media was not yet ever present.
