Dude, the Democrats are saying that Biden - with his moderate persona - was the only one who could have beaten Trump. In the worst economic depression since 1930, with a media and billionaire class in the tank against him like no other, and a once-in-a-century pandemic that allowed the senile idiot to hide in his basement.
And still he almost pulled it off. Trump's performance in 2020 was impressive.
Yes, he really needs to shut up about the so called stolen election.
Conservatives believe that Goldman Sachs needs a tax cuts, while ordinary people need to be taxed more (Rick Scott). They are jokes. Trump was right. And if Cocaine Mitch had actually moved on giving ordinary people checks, he may have won.
I have Strange New Respect for Rand Paul due to his foreign policy views and his opposition to the Disinformation Board (and at the same time am surprised that you support him, given Ukraine). But let's be real here. A guy with negative charisma and a dead ferret on his head dis not going to be elected President. I wish he would be. But he won't. He also seems to have principles, which is a major weakness for a presidential candidate.
The Democrat elites knew Biden was shit. The reason they put him up was
to stop Bernie, who the Democrat elites actually fear. But pretty much anyone else would have won against Trump, including losers like Kamala Harris, simply by being "not Trump".
Because Biden was an easily controllable puppet they could back door their far left agenda through.
Only in the context of all of his fuck-ups. Any other mainstream Republican would have coasted to an easy victory.
This has damaged him a lot. If he had conceded and went on a charm offensive, I might have given him a second chance. But since he acted like a child since he lost, it just confirms that a lot of his critics are right, and now that he isn't an incumbent, I'm not stuck having to support him anymore. It's just so tiresome seeing him constantly pick losing battles (because he fights every battle, even obvious baited traps) and make unforced errors.
That's false, and a Democrat talking point. Rick Scott is correct that everyone should pay taxes. If half of Americans don't pay any taxes at all, which is the trend, then we will have a permanent class of Democrat-voting "takers" who never complain about taxes because they don't pay any.
And idk why you want to bring up "Goldman Sachs". Republicans never advocate for special tax benefits for Goldman Sachs. They want a simplified tax system that is more fair, without all the bullshit care-outs and subsidies. Government should not play favorites or pick winners.
That's your socialism showing. Thank God Americans aren't like you in that regard. I don't want to live in some shitty socialist country where government is mommy & daddy. Freedom can never truly exist in a socialist country. Consolidation of power in the central government is an inherent evil.
I advocated for and supported Paul in his opposition to the $40B Ukraine slush fund, because everything Paul was saying about it was true. And that is with me still wanting to nut punch Russia over the invasion. It was wasteful, pork barrel spending with huge slush funds for Biden, the State Dept, and USAID that should never have been part of it. Only like $10B was even for Ukraine military aid.
I don't like Rand Paul's "isolationist" attitude because it is naive, but he is second to none when it comes to the fight against socialism. As long as Rand Paul would not betray Taiwan and kowtow to China, I'd be 100% happy with him.
Joe Biden is that + he sniffs little girls, and he got elected. I want another Ronald Reagan to show up and make this easy, but you have to play the hand you're dealt. I think the R lineup, as imperfect as it is, is still much better than the D lineup now. People like Harris, Beta O Rourke, and Buttgeig are just absolute jokes.
You're just engaging in polemic. You have no idea who would or would not have won.
No Republican could have won in a year when the economy declined by 30%.
That's absurd. If you pay $1 in taxes, you won't complain about taxes either, because $1 is not worth complaining about. At the end of the day, you want to soak the poor to pay off the rich, and that's quite reprehensible (though I know you support it not because you're a bad person, but because you're a blind partisan).
Sure. But when they hand out $1.5 trillion to Goldman Sachs and others who... desperately need it, they're not on the right path. Particularly whhen Goldman Sachs then turns around and screws the right with its absurd diversity demands.
Well, you lost because you regarded giving people the vast sum of $800 as 'socialism'. Which of course has nothing to do with socialism.
That is strange. I thought you'd be a big supporter of the $40 billion slush fund.
I mean, you act like it's some sort of moral commitment to Taiwan, rather than hard-nosed Realpolitik of trying to prevent the influence of China from spreading. It is not betrayal to not defend Taiwan (though I hope the US does), because princes break their word when it is not in their interests, and Taiwan knows that full well.
You have to correct for your own bias on that. Harris is unpopular with everyone. The other two, I am not sure.
It didn't decline by 30%. US GDP was only -3.49% for 2020.
Now you're just lying to straw man me. Why the fuck do I care about helping "the rich"? I just want a fair tax system, where losers are not subsidized, and winners are not punished. If you are a poor loser, you should be incentivized to go work to improve your position in life, instead of whining to government to take care of you. I don't want to live in a nation full of useless dead weight who contribute nothing and then sit on twitter and reddit all day demanding communism.
What are you talking about? The Republicans bowed down to all the spending in 2020, albeit reluctantly, precisely because they feared losing votes. That's not why they lost.
I made a post in KIA2 on Reddit criticizing it and linking Rand Paul's denunciation of it. Maybe you were already banned by then, idk. I can't link it now because I don't have access to the sub. I can be against Russia but also in favor of fiscal responsibility.
It is a moral imperative. Americans are (or were) raised to believe that we stand at the tip of the spear to defend freedom and democracy against the evils of communist aggression. You might remember the Cold War, which was still in full swing when I was a child growing up in the 80s.
You think Americans have no principles, and well, the libs don't, but most normal Americans do. And it is still 100% in America's best interests to defend Taiwan to prevent aggression from a resurgent CCP empire even from a realpolitik perspective, but there is also a moral, principled component to it as well. The principles will bring the Right, the emotional virtue signal "feels" will bring the Left.
Ah, so you're a supporter of nazis torturing and murdering ethnic Russians.
lol Putin aint gonna fuck you, bro
