There have only been 13 since 1966? I want to disagree, but when I really think about it, I'm not sure I can.
A stricter tally of mass school shootings, conducted by criminologists for Scientific American, only includes incidents where the shootings resulted in at least four deaths. Using their criteria, the number of mass school shootings in the U.S. since the year 1966 is 13. These crimes claimed the lives of 146 people in total.
146 is about two a year. That is literally a non issue. It's horrible for the parents who won the reverse lottery, but your kids are legitimately a hundred thousand times more likely to be molested by a teacher than shot by a random lunatic.
Without consulting any records, my brain can recall four since 2000. I'm sure there's got to be at least six or seven, because it feels like the US gets one every two years at least.
Looking at this wikipedia page, there are lots of shootings at schools, but most of them are not what we think of when we say 'school shooting'.
I'm going go out on a limb and say that it's unfair to only count it as a mass shooting if 3 people die', and count '3 people injured' as a mass shooting. There's more than I knew of/remembered, but indeed, we're still talking about less deaths than there will be from kids running across roads.
I'm sure there are more and more shootings missing from the list the further back you go, but I bet that even if you could find them all, the same trend would still be apparent;
An exponential increase in incidents since 1960. Or in other words; since the project to destroy the nuclear family truly got underway.
I love how inconsistent their own stats, are, too. Didn't they try to claim like hundreds of shootings or something under Trump?
At least compared to their own fear-mongering narrative, even their made up 27 sounds low. They're like the boy who cried wolf, on so many topics. Not sure how anyone can take them seriously on things like gun violence or climate change, which they just lie about nonstop.
I found the article, there have been 27 times a firearm was discharged at a school or schoolbus, which is...very much stretching the definition of a school shooting.
I’d be okay if they kept mudding the waters if it lead to us defunding public schools or making them all charters or something. The system in general is broken and most aren’t teaching kids anything worth learning anymore. They even teach math wrong.
Go ahead and say there are hundreds of school shootings every day. Use it as an argument to defund them.

Can't publish facts like this in main stream media.

This page is the real kicker, though.

stretching it well past the point of breakage.
It is. And some shitlib told me they didn't care that the shooting was after school between two non students. Still a school shooting.
Also the time an 8 year old had a gun and it went off in their bag.
Neither of those (to pick two) are school shootings. It's just mudding the water and arguing in bad faith

The public school system is a total loss at this point thanks to leftists. Private schools are 100% the way to go
TONS of people believe this, yes.
