Behold the path of compliance: there must be thousands, tens of thousands, of people in those apartments alone. The government is able to control them, not because of military power or force, but because they're doing as they're told.
The sooner we remember that we are in charge of our lives, the better.
Shanghai has been in total lockdown for about a week and the situation there seems to be devolving pretty quick. I've seen stories of tons of soldiers called in. Videos like OP are cropping up and there's photos and posts about the "weekly" food rations the CCP is giving to people. Puts the footage from earlier about the flying drone telling people to "stop singing" in context.
I've just been on WeChat talking with some friends in Shanghai. I can confirm that there is two whole city lock downs spread across The Bund and Pudong side of the river and a huge food shortage with fruit and vegetables being sprayed with alcohol before being given out by authorities.
Meanwhile, outside of Shanghai everything is ticking over nicely.
Poor rank n file. Their overlords created the virus, and let it loose, and while the rest of the world (outside Chinada) are living with it, China has decided they are going to do what no one else has been able to. Eliminate the virus.
What a bunch of maroons. Trudeau admiring their basic dictatorship, is busy trying to pass a new law to make the emergency easier to enact, and to strip people of their houses if they so much as peep, never mind honk.
Over two years ago people were chanting support for one another from their windows during the first lock down (Which lasted 9 weeks) the mood seems to have soured since then.
"How should we eliminate novel viruses?"
"Lockdowns!"
"Vaccines!"
"Not create them in the first place." *gets thrown out window*
Is it possible that even the Chinese have their limits?
Yeah, I think so.
I also think that, when they do break, they're going to make the french revolution look like a little girl's tea party.
That is bloody eerie.

Scary stuff.

Sprayed with alcohol? Are they thinking it'll disinfect it???
I'm presuming so.
My Shanghai friends aren't very happy about it but will comply with cooking with it and eating it.
Singapore also has robot dogs that go around telling people to go inside and photographing anyone who isn't.
Dallas airport has a robot that photographs people without masks that https://archive.ph/5uIr1
Remember this is what the shitlibs want for you when they complain that we never really tried a "true lockdown".

Hand-Maid-in-China's Tale.
The house stripping is by "the conservative" government of Ontario doing everything Trudeau wants them to.
I know. For such a potato, DF is pretty spry at bending whatever way he is told.
The other local party's are worse than this potato.
Fucking GTA.
Can't say i feel sorry for the bugmen, they allowed this.

“Save us Gamera!”
"Instructions unclear. Destroyed Shanghai."
