That's how SJW fags talk online. Nothing wrong with "ya'll" but when you see it on reddit it's almost always some woke tard trying to be inclusive.
It's not "black" ... it's just "southern".
I'm pulling all this out of my ass, but it makes sense to me: A lot of these reddit-tier bugmen probably don't have a southern bone in their bodies and say 'y'all' just to sound folksy, but they unknowingly end up using the black vernacular version of it (forreal y'all, y'all behave, i'm shook y'all, etc.) because that's what they heard on TV or some shit.
NC born & raised, and in everyday speech I say 'y'all' all the time because that just feels natural. I almost never type it out tho, and it feels like most of the time I do see it written online it's by some bugman. Even these two paragraphs seem like too much thought to put into it, but it's annoying seeing your language get coopted by people who are pretty much the antithesis of the actual speakers.
I thought it started because they wanted to virtue signal about not using "guys" to refer to a group of mixed of unknown genders.
They're lazy fucks and y'all is the shortest to type out. Then again, they use "sweety" when they want to condescend to someone, so maybe they do just have a fetish for southern/black people talk.
I actually use ya'll in my texts and online speech, simply because I type as I speak in the vernacular, most times.
Jamie pull up a map of black population density in the US. Jeez, look at that. Those southern chimps could just tear you apart
There's one thing about how often it gets misspelled and ironically you hit that nail on the head.
Y'all = you all. Ironically my spellchecked flagged this.
Ya'll = Yawl I guess which is a kind of boat.
