Star Trek Discovery has always been an unwatchable steaming pile of woke dogshit. All the women are perfect and immediately good at everything, all the men are forgettable wimps.
The fact that they made the main character both Spock's sister and a jogger should tell you all you need to know. They named her Michael, FFS.
Don't forget, her only response to anyone who dares to not immediately listen and obey her is to look smug, put a tear in her eyes, make her voice verklempt, and use a totally patronizing tone to repeat the same fucking lie she had just said as if it was anymore convincing or real now that she's overcome with smug 'motherliness'.
They use this same shit with NCIS and Mark Harmon's character. He is daddy, and daddy is always right. Don't oppose daddy, especially when he is wrong, which is all the fucking time.
I love old Trek. I even didn’t mind the Abrams Trek movies but I remember being excited when I first heard a new Star Trek show was coming but quickly lost interest when they kept gushing over the fact the captain would be a black woman (never mind that there has been a black and female captain so this shouldn’t be a big deal), also the cast posted a photo of themselves taking a knee. Add to that the showrunner wanting to piss off certain fans and I’m done with Trek unless one day it gets bought by someone who cares. Until then I’ll watch reruns and there are a ton of trek expanded universe books.
I do like the Orville overall. It seems to have the spirit of Star Trek

I didn't even realize she was Spock's sister. I've only seen a few videos making fun of the show, though.
