There's a lot of propaganda coming out of everywhere right now. I don't know that I've ever seen this much information jamming going down before. I am having a hell of a time trying to pick apart what's true and what's lies right now. Usually you can just watch the news, and then check /pol/ to verify all the lies, but this seems to have extended to all information channels. Everything is jammed.
Doesn't help that even some of our trusted channels have turned into full blown pro-Ukraine propaganda seemingly out of nowhere. I dunno if it's the information climate making it hard for even those guys to find the truth, or if they're simply picking up the cause this time.
It's nuts. I've following this since it started. I've been using here, Twitter, Reddit, multiple news sources and people. The only thing I can can be 100% certain of is there are Russians, Ukrainians and they might be shooting at each other.
I'm in Poland, there is definitely a war next door. There are definitely refugees streaming across the border. Who is doing what in the war is much harder to tell. It looks like the russians are pushing forward through heavy resistance and that Czerników is being flattened. I don't know much else.
It's insane how people are like "Ukraine is the good guys!" when they seem to be the ones pumping out propaganda in order to force NATO into the conflict like there's no tomorrow.
And of course, if NATO does get goaded into the conflict, then basically no one in the world is safe.
Seems the best position to adopt here is "Who gives a shit about Ukraine" if they're going to care so little for the safety of the world.
I don't even know if it's a shit option, they've been shelling their own Eastern province for years. At that point, it would save them money on artillery to let them secede.
It would give Russia control of the oil and gas pipelines into Europe. Among other issues, it would make stopping the nord2 an irrelevant bargaining tool.

they could have just given up and let the east secede. sure it's a shit option, but war is obviously a worse one.

Edit A post discussing this
Europe is afraid of green rocks that give off plentiful, safe, cheap energy. So they need the gigatons of coal and oil out of the Ukraine.
and all of it is being boosted by western media for some reason
