It’s always amazing to look at how lazy games are today. It’s like the planned obsolescence of video games. They throw a half finished product with a third of the features of the exact same game a decade ago.
And somehow with lower quality, like with the newest Battlefield, which somehow has WORSE player animations than Battlefield 4. Absolutely astounding.
And shoehorn in microtransactions, can't forget about that. "Oh it's just going to be for free games, just going to be for 1 dollar games, just for games on the phone" Copium from 2009 that was tossed around.
That was the gamer version of vax mandates. Oh it’s just cosmetics!

Then Skyrim sold more than imaginable and now cosmetics cost 2x-3x that for even less variation.

It's crazy, in 2022, to hear what the word "Diverse" means in 2008. You've got three white characters and a black character, all of the zombies generally look to be the same race, and yet each design looks strikingly different, between the army jacket old man, vest and jeans biker, sweatshirt and sweatpants kid, and the shirt and tie office worker. Compare that to "Purple shirt tacticool girl with purple hair" "Blue shirt tacticool black guy" "Orange jacket tacticool white guy" "Blue shirt tacticool hawiian" "Yellow shirt tacticool white girl" "Green shirt tacticool jewish guy" ex ex. Zero of these outfits would look any different on a different character's head, just awful character design based around trying to shoehorn as many different generic characters of different races in as possible.
This is better for c/gaming than here.
The “diversification” of the industry tracked closely with the downturn in quality. Because when you hire based on intersectional feminism rather than talent, you end up with woke garbage.
