I dislike the retconning of the 6th as "everyone who encouraged people to go was a Fed".

Obviously we now know there were Feds encouraging shit, but had Trump and normie GOP politicians not worked people into an existential frenzy over the election fraud without any sort of plan or intent to actually do anything about it, the Feds wouldn't have had such an easy job.

There's people in prison right now because a bunch of GOP politicians were apparently just trying to get people excited to vote in the Georgia special election. It's disgusting.

Turns out a TON of feds were there because people are putting together a list of uncharged co-conspirators. Most of those boomer orgs like oath keepers are feds at the top since several were inside the capitol, verified to be them and were never charged while normies who were with them caught charges.

If we let this fraud stand we don't have a country anymore!

- Trump

I wonder why the normies thought it was their patriotic duty to be in DC.

It's easy to blame the Feds for everything, but last year when the videos of the election shenanigans were making the rounds last year and politicians beyond just Trump were making those sorts of "existential threat to the Republic" claims, the Feds didn't exactly have to send their very best to entrap people.

The failure ultimately rests on Trump. He didn't have people on the ground to direct the crowd, and he doesn't seem to have ever had a real plan. At the very least, he should have pardoned everyone, since they were there at his request.

Agreed as the Chief Executive and host of the protest, but he wasn't the only one contributing to the feeding frenzy. There are many others who share blame. Who thought that speaking of existential threats to the Republic just meant that people would...take to the streets and shout really loud? In a country founded by tarring and feathering Loyalists and shooting Redcoats in the face.

It's really baffling. All the politicians and commentators out there who say "the election was stolen!". Well, we patiently and lawfully waited for the court cases to come in, and they accomplished nothing. "The election was still stolen!" I mean, what do you expect people to do at that point? If the Dems really are willing to commit mass voter fraud in the 2020 election, why wouldn't they in the 2024 election? And every one past?

Soap box is shuttered and done with, we are all Nazis and our opinions are not only not worth listening to, but objectively evil.

Ballot box is apparently pointless.

Jury box doesn't seem effective either, lots of cases not even heard, let alone voted on.

They have to know there's only one box left.

And nobody used it on J6, because they still believed if they could get a big enough soap box, they wouldn't have to.

That's the infuriating part - the protest was an attempt at de-escalation, and those who attended it were punished.

And looking at the way biden's handlers are running things, he was fucking right.

A mob is only as intelligent as its dumbest or angriest individuals. Group think and FOMO kicks in and suddenly you're falling off a cliff.

Yes, proper leadership and action from politicians could have prevented it in the first place, but I'm absolutely proud of the people who went on an unguided tour in protest. It's our damn house. If ANTIFA or Feds instigated the crowd, so fucking what. Nobody should be charged with anything except misdemeanor vandalism for anyone who broke stuff.

A leftist riot would have torched the place.

I take no issue with any aspect of the protest. I also think a lot of people now want to pretend that their reaction at the time wasn't "'bout fuckin' TIME!".

It's just disappointing that the people in prison were used by a bunch of politicians and activists whose bark was worse than their bite and who now disavow the rhetoric that led to that end.

He's not a fed, he's just an idiot desperate for clout.

I remember him from the YouTube days way back when. I believe he started as part of Ice Poseidon's crew of weirdos.

Knew it! All the hardcore people mentioned constantly on TheDonald were/are obviously nothing but glowies and grifters. But if you said something, they dog piled on you, like any other reddit. They still have hardons for Candace Doxxers, MtG, Booberts, etc..

T_D was always so desperate for allies that if you said one thing they liked, suddenly they would consider you a super star. It was a bad circle jerk of celebrity worship at times.

It shared that trait with Gamergate, funnily enough.

This is a right-wing conservative trait in general. We've been a "progressive" society for as long as everyone on this planet has been alive, and the only "sin" we acknowledge is the refusal to "progress". Which means you have to apologize for not going along with whatever the "progressive" cause of the day is.

"Conservatives" inhabit that frame and therefore are subject to those rules. Fortunately we seem to do a bit better here.

Baked Alaska was never the Donald's guy, never saw anyone champion him over there. He was/is an IP2 hero though. I think, I stay clear of that place.
