How ironic, blacks build their legacy - by stealing it from whites. Just like they steal everything else.
To defend this they point to white actors playing native Americans or Asians. I’m like that is pretty weak I’d you are pointing to a practice that ended a long time ago. So glad this show had horrible ratings
Also, I would argue if it’s like… A mixed character, then who gives a fuck? Summer Glau looks Asian, but isn’t, and fucking Aubrey Plaza and Megan Fox are both “part native”, but don’t look it AT ALL, so, when it isn’t a caricature, which I would argue THIS IS, then I really don’t think it matters that much…
Ethnically ambiguous people should be able to play any “mixed” character, IMHO, but I don’t think that’s exactly what you’re talking about here (personally, I don’t think Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra, or Yul Bruner as fucking Genghis Khan, should offend ANYONE, either, though), and that isn’t what is happening here…
