This show is just an abomination. And the people who defend it are all retards.
The people who say they thought Jet was black in the anime are such fucking little liars. Dude has the same skin tone as everyone else. He is just buff. Buff, beefy ass men are not just default black. Also, they say he is black because the English voice actor is black. The fuck?
He was created by Japanese people and his original voice actor was a Japanese man (also the original Japanese voice of Professor Oak, lol). He died in 2018. Does that mean Jet is dead now and the Netflix nightmare should leave him out of this shit?
One cunt who is defending this on Yahoo claims that the show is good, because the original creators worked on it, including the... "dude who composed the music". DUDE. Yoko Kanno. A dude. We have a real fan in our midst, boiz.
The buff, "black" guy, was he bald, too? I bet he was bald.
Hey, I've seen people insist that live-action Goku MUST be played by a Japanese, because, you know, Goku and his world is entirely genetically and culturally Japanese ... even though he had a tail as a kid ... and his kids had tails that needed surgical removal ....
A gigantic, bald ex-cop with a beard. I wonder if they changed his past, though. The popo are a nono to these commie troonfuckers.
His voice was done by a girl in Japan.
As if this helped FLCL's two horrible new seasons.
At least that one didn't involve Netflix or anything woke so we can openly shit on them without any defenders rushing out with bad defenses.
There is new FLCL? Hooo boy.
Adult Swim themselves funded two new seasons like 5 years ago, Alternative and Progressive. A lot of the original staff came back, both from the original Japanese production and the English localization.
But you can tell the meme of how good the show was was what they based it on, instead of the soul. So it comes across as a cheap imitation with way too much budget.
what is that thing?
The live-action representation of the character Gren. In the anime he had black hair, dressed like a dude, and had breasts due to having been forced to take an experimental drug while in prison, which played into his character development and his reasons for his actions. In the live-action version they cast a non-binary actor and tarted the character up to effectively be trans. Yet another reason to avoid the shit-show over on Netflix and stick with the original anime.
Gren was a tragic character who had a sense of dignity in the anime. Whatever it is that’s depicted here has no dignity and the only tragedy is that I have to see it.
Looks healthy...
Fuck them. Though, thanks for signalling to me not to watch your dumpster fire remake.
Star is a bit of stretch. It's like when they take a classic book and slap the soulless reboot art on it and add, "Now a major motion picture," or, "Now a hit tv series."
I'm glad I got all the Witcher books before the Shitflix series was even under consideration, even if most of them had innaccurate renders from the games. Just seeing that crap on the new covers makes me physically ill.
Never seen the cartoon, but I've heard nothing but good about it. Dunno what this twit is on about.
And that picture looks like soemthing fit for r/aliensamongus.
In the anime the character of Gren is a dude that was forced to take an experimental drug while he was in prison, and the drug caused him to grow breasts. The whole reason why he was in prison and why he had to take the drug was tied into his character arc, and he was most definitely still a guy, he just happened to have tits. When they swapped it over to the live action version they cast a nonbinary actor to play the part and effectively made the character trans, because this is apparently something that was "wrong" in the anime. Yet another reason to stay the hell away from the live action version.
... ... star?
That does not look like a healthy man.
Just looks like a man in drag.
Honestly I hadn't heard anything good about the live action so I was just going to ignore it. Don't have Netflix, don't care. Now I'm going to actively shit on their joke of a remake everywhere it's brought up just to spite these people.
Thanks for polarizing things, Mason.
Faye had boobs and a dangerous navel.
A man named Black wasn't black.
Gren wasn't the "representation" they wanted too.
