Does it work on loud, bass thumping cars, and if so, how quickly can I get one mounted on all my vehicles?

What a shit article. They lead with some never before seen device and fail to give ANY information on it.

"Hey, there's this unique and interesting device that hasn't been covered before. We should write an article about it! 700 words about dancing grannies and none about the device itself sounds like a great idea!" - some Guardian brainlet

What's a "signal blocker"? A simple wireless jammer that blocks Bluetooth? That would be rather boring. Or are we talking something electromagnetic that fucks with speaker coils? That would be interesting. The article calls it "stun gun-style device", whatever that means..

At that age, break-dance comps are out of the question.

Break-hip comps are totally on the menu, though.

It takes an enormous amount of energy to cancel sound waves over even a small area, so it's obviously something much less exciting.

In this case, it's just an IR flashlight that acts as a long-range remote, blinking common versions of mute. More info here.

So basically the same thing that people use in gyms/airports to turn off CNN?

Can I get this in the US and will it work in the apartment next door? It seems like an elegant solution to the multicultural garbage in my building forcing the whole fucking city to listen to their horrible music at all hours of the day and night.
