The State made that man into a criminal.

It should be a burden upon the State to pay for those damages and for the mental anguish inflicted upon all involved.

In a just nation there would be an angry mob outside the court demanding blood for this ruling.

You're not in a just nation. You're in a crazy nation. If you got together you'd be broken apart and arrested by soldiers, not police. Get it yet?

I know it's unacceptable to say this, and I'm sure I would go to jail for doing so, but if I was in this situation, and a cop assaulted me while telling me that I "would be gassed" - you wanna bet I'm not going down willingly...

Right, well, I'm fucking angry, now. Time to use that anger for something productive, I guess...

Fuck cops. And fuck this stupid joke of a country, and everyone going along with this. Hotels, media, politicians, judges, lawyers, "counsellors", "psychologists", "doctors" and businesses. You're fucking evil. There's no other word for what you've all done.

Text from the Australian, because it is paywalled and unarchivable (I tried, trust me):

"A Victorian teenager has been sentenced to three months in jail after he embarked on an anger-fuelled rampage in hotel quarantine, a court has heard.

Victoria Police charged 19-year-old Stawell man Jessie Thomas with intentionally damaging property — valued at up to $10,000 — after he punched holes in the walls and door of his room at the Element by Westin hotel in Richmond.

Thomas became violent on Saturday because he believed he was due to leave quarantine at midday on September 4 but staff would not let him out. In fact, he was not due to leave until a minute before midnight.

The court also heard Thomas smashed a TV, broke a kettle and the dining table after he was forced into hotel quarantine on August 22 because he tried to bypass authorities when he returned from NSW.

The judge described the incident as a “significant rampage” and according to police at the hotel, Thomas attempted to escape the facility on Saturday.

Thomas’ lawyer Peter Schumpeter said his client admitted to the damages, and asked for a community corrections order with unpaid community work and counselling for anger management, drugs and alcohol.

He said Thomas conceded he had anger management issues and sought counselling from Headspace. The court also heard Thomas breached a family violence intervention order this year, abused marijuana and had been sleeping rough since the age of 15.

But magistrate John Doherty sentenced him to three months in prison.

“Thomas went on a) significant rampage of his hotel designed not only to protect him but to protect the rest of us Victorians,” he said.

“In my opinion he should receive a jail sentence and he will.”

Video and audio emerged online of Mr Thomas’ episode at the hotel.

Reality television star Danny Hayes posted the video to YouTube that documented Thomas’ breakdown. He can be heard swearing loudly and punching the walls of his room at hotel quarantine on Swan St.

Between loud thuds and yelling, Mr Thomas could be heard screaming: “take me somewhere where the f**king walls won’t cave in”.

In response, a man’s voice said: “We can’t help you if you keep doing this”.

Mr Hayes filmed himself calling staff to ask what happened in the room next door.

“There is a guy going off his head — you obviously know that … he is punching walls,” he said.

“I think he is my next door neighbour. I heard him say … he was supposed to be released.”

It is understood it was a Victoria Police officer who can be heard telling the 19-year-old to “calm down or you will get f**king gassed”.

The 2021 Big Brother star and Melbourne based real estate also posted a video to Instagram and said people go berserk in hotel quarantine.

“People go crazy in here. You know why? It’s not normal to lock people in a place,” Mr Hayes said.

“This is the second guy that has smashed the place up since I have been here. You can hear the babies crying, this is sad,” he said.

“This is the reality of hotel quarantine.”

He later said: “It’s like we are inmates”.

It's not, unless you have an exemption (compassionate or whatever)...

In this case, I believe he jumped the border and was then caught. Which... These are state borders, here. They should NEVER have been allowed to be closed. And it also implies, I suppose, that someone dobbed him in...

Re your second question, that really depend on how rich and powerful you are, and who you know...

If you're Zac Efron, or mining magnate Twiggy Forrest, or Chris Hemsworth, or a politician, you can come and go as you please, and you WON'T be subjected to this hotel prison situation...

For you, or I, or anyone else, like in this video? No, we cannot leave (even if you normally reside overseas, as of last month), and the waitlist to enter has some 40,000 people on it, has done for six months, and the wait time keeps blowing out, month after month, as Vic and NSW, for example, put interstate travellers (as here), in the hotels instead...

Alternatively, you may end up in a literal quarantine "camp", like Howard Springs, in Darwin. 35 degree heat, and 100% humidity.

You can go outside, there, but the cops are even more oppressive, and heavy-handed, and I fully expect they would be happy to kill, or at least permanently maim you, if you cause a fuss, as here...

So really, not much better. They're building more camps like that, too. And yes, Godwin's law, but you... Get that this isn't a great look. They plan to send us unvaccinated, there, in future, too...

Does that sort of answer your questions?

People can't allow themselves to be put into quarantine, and angry mobs should be burning those places to the ground in Minecraft.

It's the latter. You MAY be given an exemption, to travel, as you say, for work, but then you may not get back in, at least for many months...

However, far more importantly, those exemptions are rarely granted. I couldn't get one to go study a course in Sweden, as a personal example...

But see my reply to the parent comment below. I go into more detail there, to try and explain it, at least a bit...

It's so fucked, here, dude. I just... Can't explain how fucked it is. :-(

The judge described the incident as a “significant rampage”

Their judges don't value a democracy. Sad.

Yeah, this is just about the ultimate, uhh, blackpill, for me...

I can't live like this for much longer. I don't know about other Aussies and New Zealanders, but I just... Can't.

Sure, call me an "emotional woman" or a "fag" or whatever other insults you want, but this... Sorry, but this is too much, for me, even after all the other shit we've had go down, here, recently...

And it just keeps getting worse.

It's hard to see... "Light", at the end of the tunnel, when this has become your reality, that you literally can't even escape. :-(

I'm gonna keep posting this until you people get it through your thick skulls.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.

The Gulag Archipelago should be required reading, doubly so after the events of 2021 thus far.

See, the trouble there is, Hollywood has made you believe Aussies would fight over anything...

If the last 18+ months should have taught you anything, it's that my fellow countrymen won't even fight for their own lives, or the lives of their children, let alone their freedoms, my dude...

We're a completely cowed people. Sheep, maybe even less than that.

Sad to admit, but it's the truth.

I now understand, somewhat, how North Korean and Chinese dissenters feel... When your whole country is like this, your own family will happily dob you in, and it feels like everyone around you is totally fine with it..? Of course you're going to start feeling a bit... Mad. :-/

Anyway, sorry to bring down the mood. It's just... It's a pretty bad time, over here.

Sheep, maybe even less than that.

Are you sure most of your fellow Australians don't welcome the tyranny? I know in blue cities in the US there are many people who want daddy government to punish them harder.

When your whole country is like this, your own family will happily dob you in, and it feels like everyone around you is totally fine with it..?

Completely understand and have felt that way about all this clown world bullshit since before the "pandemic" started. The "pandemic" just revealed how many people are under the media spell.
