Right? People would rather wait to be told what their views are so that they fit-in with what's socially accepted in their little cliques.

It's like the Thunberg thing. World leader queuing up to be berated by some child for not oppressing their own populations enough to sate Gaia.

Yup. It's nothing more than political theater to help promulgate their ideological agenda. The oil industry is already monopolized by certain groups of exceedingly rich people; there's obscene amounts of money to be made in the energy sector. Politicians and corporate elites desperately want to be able to get in before the "boom" happens so that they can solidify their wealth for generations to come.
What better way to do that than to straight-up create a bogeyman using fudged science to usher that age in?
It's not a secret that currently the technology for the world to go "green" simply isn't up to par for it be practical in any conceivable way. Hell, most people don't even realize that a Tesla has an almost similar carbon footprint compared to any other vehicle -- only slightly better.
But what would really blow their mind is the ecological disaster that mining for rare earth metals cause for local ecosystems. Currently, fracking and natural gas are exceedingly more efficient ant less damaging.
Not to mention, they always seem to forget one very important detail: that the "green movement" requires an absurd amount of plastics to accommodate it as well. What are plastics made out of? Why they're made of oil, of course! So they're basically advocating for a double-dip of bullshit!

It would all be pretty funny, if it weren't for the fact that their corruption is further revealed when people realize that the US has exceedingly little rare earth metals available and that the only people who would benefit from a "green movement" are also the ones who provide the vast majority of the worlds rare earth metals and who are responsible for most of the world's pollution -- China!
China is the one of the few places that has rare earth metals in abundance.
Know who else does?
Afghanistan!
Guess who just stepped in after Biden's disastrous handling of the situation there and formed a partnership with the Taliban in exchange for the right to be able to mine those rare earth metals? Of course it's China again.
Anyway, that's enough random ranting.

We have two options with respect to "clean" energy:

  1. massive reduction in both population and quality of life

  2. nuclear

Anyone who advocates for "clean" energy while opposing nuclear power is an enemy of humanity.

Yup. If people were concerned about clean energy, they would be advocating for nuclear for sure. The technology has come a long way and it's by far the most practical currently.

Does this mean I can advocate for massive reduction in population, use of nuclear, and an increase in quality of life?

I figured everyone here would enjoy this video, since I know we all have people in our lives that are still going bonkers of "muh masks!"
Everything she says is completely accurate and it's precisely what many of us have been saying since all of this nonsense began.
I uploaded it to streamable so that people could get easy access to send to friends/family without having to jump through the hoops of social media -- because screw them.
We need more people like this woman.
It's becoming more and more apparent that people don't "trust the science" -- they trust their TV, social media, and celebrities.

Well, since I'm here... I may as well include some resources for my friends that stop by -- if anyone is interested.

Here's a random collection of studies that more-or-less align with what everyone already knows, but that the every day person still seemingly ignore for some reason.
I hope it's useful to someone. Not all of them are purely scientific/medical -- a couple are legal, I think.

Another one by L.A. Times about mask usage during the H1N1 debacle, where the current mandates were only suggested and not forced on people. That fake "pandemic" was a medical 'wargame' scenario and or a field test of the Coof and no one can convince me otherwise now.

Thank you, friend. It will make a fine addition to the collection.
There's a lot of stuff about the sniffles that for some reason the media completely hides.
I'm sure it has nothing to do with them seeing record engagement and viewership. At least we know in advance that the next thing they will fearmonger will be climate change.

I do as well.
It's a shame that people have become so ideologically obsessed that they are willing to ignore anything -- no matter the veracity -- that doesn't match the whimsical world that they wish to believe.

Particularly the point about what masks can actually filter.

I use a full M3 Respirator Mask for pollen. POLLEN!

No little cloth mask is gonna do shit.

My family doctor never mandated masks in her practice. She told us over a year ago almost everything this woman said in the vid, and basically kept our business for life. Common sense is so hard to find.

This is a good video.

Anyone who has been properly trained, tested, and fitted for respiratory protection knows masks are shit.

A surgical mask is great for keeping drops of blood from getting into a surgeons mouth during surgery, or your plaque/tooth chips from a dentist, or spit from the caretaker getting into a wound etc. But that's it, a far cry from airborne viruses.

It feels like getting into a car and having only a lap belt, wearing a surgical/cloth style mask. The masks they handed out at my work you could see through if held up to the light.

FML.

I've personally never understood why masks are supposedly required, but gloves are not.

Honestly, back in March of 2020, it was the first thing I did. I kept wearing my winter gloves just to operate doors and the like... because obviously that is what I should do because viruses will still spread through physical contact, even if they are aersolized.

Masks don't work without being cleaned. Masks don't work without fitting. Masks don't work without not being touched. Masks don't work unless they are adequately filtered. Masks don't work unless you do very specific things, none of which are being done.

It has never been about health. It is a physical symbol of subjugation and a reminder to be afraid, preying on human psychology. It all makes perfect sense once you start to assess it as hostile enemy action.

We totally agree on that.

Leftism makes no sense logically or from a set of moral principles.

This is why I keep saying that Leftism is a philosophy of War, and with a capital W. They are in a permanent state of war. Their entire philosophy is dedicated to being at war. They have no real end point. Their only point is to make their enemy powerless to their will, and in the end, their enemy is everyone else.

From that perspective, every single action they've ever taken makes perfect sense. The difference is that so many on the Left have lost their strategic sense, and are only making tactical decisions.

This is one of the reasons why the Left started claiming that CRT isn't being applied in schools, and no one's teaching it, and that there isn't a culture war: you can't attack what you can't see. When the parents rose up, they popped smoke, obscured their position, and tried to redeploy (because they don't really know how to defend, only attack in other directions).

It is the only analysis that can logically explain all of their behaviors.

Their biggest failure is that War isn't a philosophy. It's just a means to an end. It is inherently unsustainable and self-destructive. They don't seem to understand that, so they just keep attacking until everyone dies. That is the final victory of the Leftist agenda: an empire of ash and death with a single person cheering for themselves on a pile of burning bodies.
