I love their horrible tools needed. Apparently I need an allen wrench, but instead of a screwdriver a swiss army knife? I've had several hundreds of computers apart in my lifetime and if you held a gun to my head and made me pick one tool to build a computer, it would definitely be a screwdriver.
I have something called a "six-in-one lutz" that I got somewhere at some point. Has the multiple bits in the handle, but the hex end also happens to be the same size as sheet metal screws and most PC case screws. And it happens to be non-magnetic, which a lot of those types are.
That's my favorite screwdriver of them all. Mine isn't called a "lutz" but I know the type. On top of the couple I have I even keep one in the car. I've given them as gifts before.
this, if you dont have big tittie bitches, then u/mongle youre a fuckin cuck and i want nothin to do with you and im gonna take all my fuckin epic meme points back
Taking the "build a pc" part literally, how the fuck does somebody get a new Nvidia card these days?
My main PC still has a 970 gtx. After launch I tried for a few weeks to get a 3070 (hanging out in the discord, etc.) with no luck. Has anybody snagged one recently??
It's a pretty sad state of things. I bought a GTX 1660 last January just because the fan on my old Radeon card quit and I figured might as well upgrade. I've almost thought about fixing the fan and putting it back in and selling the Nvidia card for a profit. Despite it being 18 months old.
The only people I know that have paid double what it cost for the rest of this build I did a year ago:
I7-10700k, 64GB RAM, 1TB SSD stick NVME whatever, 2TB SATA SSD, AIO, 750watt PSU, and the GTX1080 from my old build. Which I bought that 1080 when the 2080's were announced new to me for $325 shipped. I could probably sell the 1080 for more than I paid for it. Rest of the Computer cost me ~$1000 a year ago to build.
TO add to my comment, play older games. Most of the best games you wont need more than a 1070, or even 970 and medium graphics. Spending money on CurrentYear games in 2020 is a waste. And even saints row is going WoKe with Lesbians and SoyBois. Spend all your money on the classics or used games, IMO/ Also D2ReMastered is removing lan. Literaly 0 reason to buy NEW games anymore. Harr
I also need to figure out a good configuration to accommodate a metric fuckton of hdds in a normal tower because I'm running out of storage space on my main rig.
RAID 1 and lots of anime. Also backing up all kinds of documents from all my PCs going twenty years back.
I haven't dug deep enough to figure out how to stick 20 drives in a case. I don't know what options there are for shelving that would support that short of buying an actual rack mounted server and I know you'd need something in the way of a PCI card to add more SATA slots. If you've got the lowdown on how to put together such a setup then hook me up with that info.
He made a few missteps that required extra time to fix like installing the AIO cold plate upside down but was still worlds more competent than The Verge.
I see you've brought the retards; where's the "build PC and talk about games" bit?
Found the build a PC video :)

Clearly the one tool you need is the Communist Manifesto, and by that I mean stealing a prebuilt computer, comrade.
based, make sure to take it from best buy where the powersupply will blow in less than a year

Yeah I'm a bit of a tool nerd.
I haven't built a PC before but I'm working on making a game, is that cool enough?

I think Linus Sebastian made one of those faces...
He makes them in thumbnails sometimes- I'm not sure why. I would think soyface would be anti-clickbait.
The YT algorithm clearly favors the soyface. This trend will end when the algorithm changes again.
I wonder if it's intentional or if the algorithm is mistaking soyface for excitement.
''sometimes' all of his channels videos look like hes getting rammed in the ass at a gay porno party.
I followed this guide
When I saw a 2017 video with a ZIF socket and an IDE port, I knew it had to be fun.
I really want to find someone stupid enough to have seasoned their PC build though.

Going to need more ammo
I'm actually overdue for a new build.

8 hours? He must have included installing Windows and updating it.
