The media is a lying bully and he knows it. As far as I'm concerned the 'delta' is a lie as well. I don't expect him to fall for it.
All credibility was lost with me when they demonized lockdown protestors but had no problem with Floyd protests.

"Delta", as a concept in the sense of "SUPER MAXIMUM BLACK PLAGUE DEATH EBOLA MK II ELECTRIC BOOGALOO", is complete and utter bullshit. Delta as a concept of "oh, look, the virus has multiple strains, as does almost every virus on the planet, and similar to influenza can bypass vaccines tailored for one specific subspecies" is a real thing.

I bet much of the new cases are really false positives. PCR tests with a cycle threshold value of 35 only have an accuracy rate of 3%.

I think the dynamics are a bit different, which might mean a different result. Floridians are broadly happy, people are moving to Florida, and his stand in Florida doesn't directly prevent them from implementing their crap everywhere else. They can use him as their kayfabe Heel, so there is less need to utterly destroy him.
If large wing states start to get on his side, they'll up the pressure, but he'll also have some backup from those other governors. If only small and deep red states are on his side, it's not enough opposition for them to care.

I just don't understand how people still fall for the fearmongering. It's been a year and a half, nobody has ever been dropping in the streets, there were no overrun hospitals, all we got was a bunch of nurses twerking. I honestly thought people would get sick of this shit last summer, and here we are a year later, getting ready for a third dose while remaining masked and locked down. All the scare propaganda is full force, they are still choosing not to wear masks. What more indicator could there be as to what the people actually want?
