Well the problem is so often it is asylum from some undefined thing that doesn't exist [I am not sure if you are referring to a specific incident but I am talking more generally].
So you have person from country X wanting to come to the US. They claim asylum or refugee or whatever. But country X doesn't really have anything special going on in the way of persecution other than people in country X are poor. But, they get let in anyway but there was never any real "reason". No one was specially persecuting them or anything. So there is no real reason. So, they come but because no actual reason was ever defined other than "poor".... well nothing ever ends to say "ok everyone go back now."
I've seen people like AOC use the term "economic refugee". To justify it she claims all these countries are popr because of America. Yes, every one. Just like "undocumented citizen" it's a made up bullshit nonsensical term that gets pushed.
No nation in history has ever supported mass immigration. It has always been forced upon the people who don't want it by the elites, either through coercion or manipulation.
Trump won because immigration became a single-issue for enough voters.
It's "temporary" when they're getting the legislation passed, but as soon as they're in, it's a human right and cannot be rescinded.
I believe the technology to rescind those rights exists in vast numbers.
