Nah, I can guarantee this comes from admins. Teachers (at least in my personal experience) hate having to just babysit little morons and want to actually make them do some things. Admins tho just want the numbers, especially for graduation, even if it’s meaningless. Administrators will do whatever it takes to cover their own asses, even if it’s a disservice to the kids.
I read a post on /tv/ that said that producers jumped down what'shis'name's throat and expressed that the idiot mass-breeding family could NOT be black or anything but white before any casting ever happened, so, yeah.
