At the same time, leftists producers are using these reboots to enthusiastically destroy cherished cultural institutions. This is the never-ending campaign to rewrite our history as a woke DIE fantasy, and it's all being underwritten by rootless cosmopolitan elites who would pimp their grandmothers for a dollar.

These people don't care about the characters they're race bending or the stories they're hijacking. It's never been about that. It's about planting their flag on another piece of intellectual property, and shouting "ha-ha it's ours now and you can't have it."

I think they are taking an existing IP for the same reason they are constantly doing remakes, they’re afraid of failure.
Look at comics. They haven’t been able to create a minority superhero with an interesting story, so they’ve resorted to race swapping the existing ones.
It’s the same here. I mean why have Velma without the van and the dog? It’s because she’s an example of a successful nerdy character, and they think they will bomb if they don’t follow the recipe.
No amount of Scooby-Snacks will offset my disappointment.
It’s not really surprising though, given they shoved that American feminist judge in the last animated Scooby movie.
It was a crime against fans to make Daphne hate her Dad in that same movie, when in every other series it’s a running gag that the Blake family lives all around the globe & love each other to death.
I think you're right about Fred. They probably wanted to race-swap Fred to a black man, but then he would spend the whole show trying to kill race-swapped Velma.
Haven’t seen any info or trailers. But I am 100% betting that Velma is going to be a narcissistic alcoholic who by day spouts “witty” jokes and comebacks referencing movies, songs, and celebrities that less than 0.02% of the audience will remember or even have fucking heard of, and by night constantly gets blackout drunk and has pathetic one night stands frequently.
