Over the last 18 months, almost every single public official has shown both the ability and the will to blatantly lie to the public if they believe it is in our best interests to do so. They lied about 15 days. They lied about % vaccinated for herd immunity. They lied about masks.
So if this dipshit believes that it is in our best interests to think that this inflation isn't real or dangerous, wouldn't he lie to us? Isn't that what experts and public officials have been doing for the last 18 months and/or 100+ years?
I guess what I'm trying to say is this: after the last 18 months of systemic dishonesty from virtually every authority and organization in the world, the best way to convince me of something is to have an expert or official try to tell me the opposite.
I fixed that up for you.
*in THEIR OWN best interests.
A politician lying for my best interests would be a huge step up.
To be fair, it was difficult to make out what he was saying over the noise of the money printer in the back going BRRRRR
Transitory and persistent don't make sense in the same sentence wtf
It actually does, but this is the lie.
All inflation is transitory, because it eventually deflates. Also, inflation has been persistent since Keynsianism was implemented 80 years ago.
What they are trying to say is that they expect sustained high inflation until they have to replace the monetary system.
What you can expect is genuine hyper-inflation.
Yup, replacing our currency is one of the worst case scenarios but not impossible. Started preparing for high inflation since a couple of months.
Half the population would celebrate the total collapse of our monetary system.
Right up until they starved to death.
Worst case?
Buddy, that's the plan.
Milton Friedman’s ghost strikes again.
Having spent decades covering up massive inflation by outsourcing and automation (note in the industries where that's not an option the costs have skyrocketed) but now they can't outsource further. What do?
Import third world slaves willing to work for next to nothing.
Mostly peaceful economic crash
They're just fortifying your economy
I’m gonna steal that and pretend it is mine - like a flatscreen TV at the BLM riots
This headlines is actually laughing in your face. They are saying “We’ll say both so you can’t say shit to us later….fuck you”
End the Fed
You know... surprised this country hasnt boiled over with all the bullshit going on.
