Get a PC: you've got control over your machine, more competition among stores, cheaper games, either DRM free or easily circumvented DRM like Steam, more games, games often look and run better, you don't support Sony and Microsoft (beyond maybe a Windows license), more input options like mouse+keyboard on top of controllers and probably a bunch of other things.
Eh, I've done it before. But never new console and the immediately flipped it after finishing the game. It's a different mindset to what we were allowed to have back in the day.
I'd like to play the demon's souls remake, but I can, and would rather, wait for a PC port. If nothing else, I can dust off the ps3 disc. Nothing else seems at all appealing on the newest gen.

I think that is exactly right and seems to be a new twitter fad. Lots of gimmick accounts have started dedicated to X posting Ws or Ls. Usually screenshots of an X posting something good (a W) or something bad (an L). The W and L are subjective based on the person running the account. Some Xs that I have seen are: Women, Journalists, Biden voters.
Scalpers are buying them out faster then most people could click but only a few who actually bought the system activated the system to buy software and games to play on the PS5. Which Sony let go of Japan Studio the makers of Ape Escape and that was bad enough they are making some bad choices even remaking the Last Of US which tells us they very much forward.

Nintendo Switch have actual games to play. The PS5 on the other hand is a glorified Blu-Ray box.
My backlog of PC games I bought on sale is longer than I can play in a lifetime :D
