Disney passed on “incredibly well-written scripts”, including ones with “diverse” supporting casts, for not meeting quota of “at least 50% representation of 'underrepresented groups' in regular and recurring characters” (archive.md)

This strategy perfectly mirrors globalism. There's nothing diverse about a slate of movies and television shows featuring the exact same composition of carefully curated identities. Similarly, there's nothing diverse about every major city in the world turning into the exact same gray sludge of multiculturalism, completely disconnected from local culture and tradition.

But just as "diversity" only targets white nations, Disney is only targeting white characters. The Mouse isn't turning down all black stories for a lack of representation. This is a one way street, and the destination is total destruction of white cultures, nations, and peoples.

Edit: Jesus Christ, this cunt is bragging about turning down good shows because they have too-white casts. She even turned down a show that had a white family with racially diverse supporting characters. This means ABC, one of the biggest broadcasting networks in America, literally won't greenlight a show for the sole reason that it features an intact white family. This is insane.

Also, it appears that "BIPOC" is here to stay. They've created an acronym in order to mask the fact that they are naming every racial group except whites.

Oh, and their guidelines also call for those BIPOC identities to be front and center in the themes and narratives of their shows. So you can't just have a racially diverse cast interacting apolitically as simple friends or family. No, the show must explicitly address the racial identities of its characters.

Well put. Racial quotas like this only serve to punish people who preform better than average, and bring down the quality overall. They do not care, it's about anti-European propaganda. Even more so that they can get a company that was once proudly American into one that hates everything that it once stood for. Hiding and shaming the company for its past transgressions as well.

Anybody who says that big corporations only care about money just needs to look at this. These kinds of policies are not for the sake of profit. Not even the "appealing to a wider audience" lie works when they've been doing it for nearly a decade now. They will gladly burn money to influence people's opinions, especially young children.

Very important this is understood

After realizing that another question popped into my mind. Where is their funding coming from? We're seeing drops in revenue (c19 unrelated) across the board for everything from merchandise, to sports and all the way to theme park attendance.

The only things that seemed to be bringing in actual money were superhero movies and they've effectively killed those. I say that as someone who truly liked the vast majority of those movies (fucking fight me).

That's the part that confuses me. Where are they getting the money to stay afloat?

What better way to build your global empire of compliant, degenerate consooming slaves?

This is a one way street, and the destination is total destruction of white cultures, nations, and peoples.

The primary resistance to said global empire.

Call me crazy but wouldn’t the best way to highlight female and minority storytellers be to hold them to the same standards as you would a straight white male? Force them to have a good story. You do them no favors by rewarding garbage. Ava Duvernay and Coates are the poster children for why diversity for the sake of diversity kills entertainment

What if they already were?

Well I mean since that seems to be the only group that can be held accountable. Someone like Ava duvernay can keep cranking out garbage race hustling movies and keep getting rewarded

Then the world would be a different place.

You misunderstand. I think there's a pretty good chance that female and minority writers were treated fairly - they just mostly sucked. What have we seen since diversity became the number one priority of media? A lot of very bad writers being promoted based on gender and skin color. If there were so many great female and minority writers being held back by racism and sexism, why haven't they materialized today?

Because the diversity premise was false.

Sure, if storytelling is your aim.

ABC seems to have more demographic goals.

Just yell "shit" at your voice activated smart TV and it will find it.

...eventually, as it cycles through a list of every channel available at random.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I saw an ad for the new TV show 'The Eraser' starring Queen Latifah.
