It's written by Ta Nehisi Coates. Red Skull is definitely not going to turn out to be the hero.
At some point he will be depicted doing something comically evil and stupid, and then some shitty blog will run an article titled 'Ta Nehisi Coates' Captain America brilliantly shows us the danger of paying attention to well-mannered fascists", congratulating him for his strawman.

There have been a lot of times in the last ten years where they just repurposed generic conservative/Trump talking points, but made Red Skull say them, which was supposed to signify they were now evil Nazi points.
So this isn't new, and is another tactic of theirs to make their opposition Nazis. Especially if you try to protest, now you are defending a Nazi.

Picked up a 3 pack just a few weeks ago : Infinty gauntlet, war, and crusade. I know they were out due to the movie but all 3 were from 90 to 93.
I doubt a single comic writer is ballsy enough to write a story where Red Skull is a good guy, even if its just his body with someone in it.
Alternate dimension red skull where he opposed Hitler would probably work.
