RINO Arkansas Gov Asa Hutchinson defends allowing children to undergo transgender medical procedures saying he just wants to follow the idea of limited role of the government and that he wants to expand the party. (mobile.twitter.com)

Exactly this. It's "muh limited government" when it's shit like this and banning vaccine passports, but it's "Comply or the police will hunt you like a dog" when it comes to things like shutting down the economy and mask mandates.

They want the role of government to be limited when it comes to its actual job, the protection of innocents, and for it to be expansive when it comes to things that are not its job, like racialized redistribution.

I don't want the tent to include people who abuse children.

I don't want anarchy, I want the government to use regulation to protect human rights.

What you're seeing is how the Right eventually comes to accept things the left push for and how the things the left push for become normalized in society.

There is a meme that the future republicans will be all for drag kids and trans kids and that these things are conservative but will oppose bestiality until they eventually accept it while the left has gone even further left.

The left keeps expanding the Overton Window on its own side, while shrinking it on the right.

I am not a Wight Supremist (nor even white), but I think the right should defend the rights of white supremacists to be present in the debate for that reason alone. If there are no actual white supremacists, they will pocket that gain and just label whoever is most 'right' on racial issues as white supremacists. This can only lead to destruction.

He's just another spineless career politician. If we want any hope of getting through the single-party state with a bit of a better life, we need ballsy governors who will stand up to the bullshit. Hutchinson could have been doing that for a year and his electorate would have applauded. He still chose not to.

We need more Ron DeSantises instead of Asa Hutchinsons and Kristi Noems.

Let Ron DeSantis prove himself first. I think that if the past few months have taught us anything, it's that we should wait and see, instead of falling in love with scum like Kristie Noem based on a photo-op with a rifle.

My own preference is for Josh Hawley - I don't think he'll blow it on this issue, but there may be other issues on which he will prove to be weak (e.g. race-baiting).

She is the RINO South Dakota governor that supports importing more useless refugees and decided to veto her state's child transgender medical procedure ban bill.

Although I disagree with you outright blaming women for everything, I think we can both agree on the idea that men should not be voting for female politicians and that women should not be given suffrage.

Notice the language they use. It's gone from "Sex change surgery" to "Gender affirming procedure" as if it wasn't chopping off little girl's chests to give them scar tissue and putting little boy's penises into blenders.

Legislature overrode his veto pretty overwhelmingly, so it doesn't matter except he's now shown himself to be a coward.

God Bless Arkansas... say I as an atheist.

At least (some) conservative Christians still have a freaking spine.

I was worried that this pathetic rat's mewling, along with lobbying by Megacorps, would have an effect on the generally corporate-owned GOP.

My wife is a normie so I have some exposure to Ru Paul's Drag Race (which as it's become more popular has transformed into nothing but a delivery system for leftist politics, they had Nancy Pelosi on as a judge once) but anyway on the latest season one of the competitors is a transman. It is at least mildly satisfying watching drag queens die a little inside while they have to sing the praises of a woman who dresses like a woman.

Don't worry Little Timmy. We, the Benevolent State, won't let you drive a car at that age. We won't let you smoke or drink. We won't let you work for more than a couple hours a week. We won't let you drop out of school. But we'll let you get a life-altering medical procedure that will **** you up for years to come!

A Republican Governor in a deep south state is defending the chemical castration of children.

I never thought I'd see the day, but here we are.
