Daily reminder, though I doubt many people on a .win site need it, that the 'African nationalists' who pushed for decolonization and the removal of Europeans from Africa were - with literally one exception I can think of, Botswana's Seretse Khama - a veritable rogues' gallery of some of the worst thieves, genocidaires and megalomaniacs in history who couldn't care less about their people's freedom, and were solely in the 'heroic liberation struggle' to be able to enrich themselves & their cronies and/or settle scores with their tribe's traditional enemies without those pesky Euro administrators in the way.
In France's case their best known African adversary was the Algerian National Liberation Front or FLN, a gang of extremely sadistic yet also craven terrorist thugs who were fantastic at murdering and raping French civilians but horrible at actually fighting the French army & gendarmes, to the point where they had basically lost the war in the early '60s. The only reason they won was because Charles de Gaulle backstabbed the pied-noirs and nationalist officers who put him in power in the first place to give Algeria its independence on a silver platter, and since then they've been busy oppressing non-Arab populations, nullifying elections they couldn't win even with extensive rigging, and running the economy so badly that their president got overthrown almost 10 years after the Arab Spring ran its course.
Unfortunately vermin like this bitch have managed to reach & fester in Metropolitan France anyway, the exact outcome De Gaulle and other advocates of withdrawal from Algeria & elsewhere said they'd be avoiding by leaving said colonies, and though she'd at best be some warlord's or corrupt bureaucrat's bedwarmer back in Africa she obviously hasn't got a shred of gratitude for the French people who unwisely let her live among them. Instead she's gonna do her damndest to export what the other black and Arab 'nationalists' did in their homelands to the metropole itself. Tant pis pour le France.
