Mike Pence just had to send the contested state electors back to the state legislatures for further investigation and decertification like Constitutional expert Professor John Eastman said he could under the 12th amendment.
I am not surprised but I am saddened nonetheless at what happened today.
And Trump is leading a march of hundreds of thousands of people down to the Capitol.
These people have been in charge for so long they really don't get how much of a precarious a situation they're in.
The left absolutely owns all the major metro areas - especially DC. Any attempts at violence/rioting by the right, are just going to result in the police/national guard (finally - Oh! it's amazing! when the other side riots, suddenly the police are allowed to put a stop to it???) clamping down hard/fast.
Then, what you'll see is hefty prison terms being handed out for the people involved in this, to dissuade further participation. All those anarchists, communists, all around shitbags that were burning/smashing everything they could, being let out literally the same day? Nah. Now it's a 5 year sentence, and magically all of the prosecutors of these cities will be more than willing to try every single case.
Finally, all that "Fiery, but mostly peaceful" type reporting? LOL!
The right can't win in this game, with these rules. The left controls everything that matters here. Short of an actual civil war, the country is fucked.
Who controls the National Guard for at least 14 more days?
We'll see how long that can be maintained once the media starts "reporting" on it.

He behaved today like the establishment Republican he truly is.
Why would you assume any of this could be remedied by legal means?
Peaceful legal avenues were cut off to you by design on the gamble that we'd all be too timid to attempt anything outside the bounds of the law, thus guaranteeing victory over us.
