I liked the left when they spoke of things like anti-interventionism, some amount of protectionist policies for American workers and jobs, and the "corporate death penalty" for corporations whose malfeasance is particularly bad. I don't even remember the last time I've even heard the phrase "corporate death penalty".
Another thread asked if I read or listened to left-wing viewpoints, and my answer to that is "the elements of the left-wing platform I agreed with are generally also shared by the Dissident Right and/or the paleocons, with the added benefit they generally aren't trying to push for degeneracy or dependency on a giant welfare state."

It only takes one lizard person in an unassuming office at the Pentagon to make this happen. No one person really knows how many people the military has where.
On a related note, my infantry unit was in Iraq prepping for a long night of raids while we watched CNN announce the last combat troops had left Iraq.
I read Norman Schwarzkopf's autobiography as a kid, and he goes into detail about the importance of media integration for Desert Storm. Nothing the media said was true. Even perfect victories were misreported with losses because they had made the Iraqi army sound badass during the build up. They didn't think the American people would believe arab Hitler could be crushed flawlessly.
The military as in the actual grunts, no. They're loyal to the US as a nation not to politicians.
The ones that do this kind of shit are officers who play the political game and basically throw their men and their morals under the bus in order to win brownie points with congressmen.
This is why my Company Commander straight up told me that he had no intention of being anything more than a Captain. Because he saw what happens to people once they get promoted past Captain. It becomes less about being good at your job and more about fucking other people over to make yourself look better.
Yeah, I think once you get to that high of a level you don't even leave Washington anymore. You pretty much spend the rest of your career in meetings with politicians.
I don't mind.
But keep in mind the only perspectives I can give you is that of a Marine infantryman NCO. I don't know how the military operated outside of my job.
Many staff at the Pentagon are extremely upset that they would be removed from command positions when they are much better informed than POTUS about national security objectives. Only the Pentagon's experianced command staff are intellectually fit to lead in modern war.
For example, take Maj. Gen. Arthur Sullivan's comment regarding his intricate knowledge and experience of leadership and command:
I know the kings of England and I quote the fights historical from Marathon to Waterloo in order categorical. I'm very well acquainted with matters mathematical. I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical. About binomial theorem, I'm teeming with a lot of news and many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse. I'm very good at integral and differential calculus. I know the scientific names of beings animalculous. In short, in matters vegetable, animal and mineral, I am the very model of a modern major-general.
A sentiment echoed by another general, a J. Ripper, who said:
Mandrake, do you recall what Clemenceau once said about war?
He said war was too important to be left to the generals. When he said that, 50 years ago, he might have been right. But today, war is too important to be left to politicians. They have neither the time, the training, nor the inclination for strategic thought. I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration, Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.
The only principle a leftist has is War itself.

bretty gud anser
Remember when Cohen made the Dictator? How sensible. Turns out he is just a subjugator.
So it's treason then.
Someone dig Paul Wolfowitz out of the spider hole he's hiding in.
The US Deep State is in charge. There is nothing the people can do but fight it.
Military is against us too...
All hope is lost?

I'm sure you felt glad to know that you weren't actually there.
Wouldn't be the first time CNN made up shit about Iraq: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isMtxbPdvzg
CNN reporters are trained to identify chemical weapons by smell.

I've seen the same conversation with Colonels. Many openly refuse to be Generals.

poorly
The PoG says hello.
What in particular would you like to know?
The Pentagon and the military are two very different things.
Senior officers don't go on patrol, just vacations.
They don't occupy territory, just chairs.
You can't win a war with generals if the ground troops, logisticians, and lower echelons are against ever fighting it at all.
Many staff at the Pentagon are extremely upset that they would be removed from command positions when they are much better informed than POTUS about national security objectives. Only the Pentagon's experianced command staff are intellectually fit to lead in modern war.

You know the song is kinda dated
So is our geriatric globalist intellectual elite.
A sentiment echoed by another general, a J. Ripper, who said:
But was he wrong?
When was the last time we had a great general, Eisenhower?
Schwarzkopf and Mattis really aren't bad Commanding Generals.
If true, treason. He's still president, court marshalls when?

of course they like these (((wars)))
