No doubt that we crossed a political Rubicon during this election for better and for worse, judging on how Pedo Joe is cheating his way in, for worse. People are giving their freedoms away in order to get a chance of Ambrosia (Sorry for the Deus Ex references, it's scary how close reality and the game are), while calling people who protest these lockdowns and bullshit measures, Fascist, Nazi, etc. Tensions on both sides are building up and I believe we heading into either a Massive Civil War or Balkanization Event that will make Yugoslavia look like child's play.
I personally stop giving a shit about politics after this "election", and wanting to live my life to fullest during these 2 months. I'm been splashing my cash a bit more (Buying 75 dollar bottles of whiskey, $400 military surplus rifles, etc.), and wondering if anyone else is feeling the same way.
I'm starting to not give a shit about keeping up the facade of civility.
I’m preparing for the worst, and playing video games. In the case of a worst possible scenario, I still can’t do shit on my own, because “the appropriate resources” are scarce, so the only thing I can really maintain is personal, emergency safety.
Yeah if things really start to hit the fan, then all you can really do is rely on family and friends to get a personal network set up. It's important to just keep safe and healthy.

There's things I don't give a shit at all about anymore--Covid for example. I don't care how many cases there are, I don't care if I get it, I don't care to take "safety" measures. Politics? Well I'll probably try to be a bit more involved for a little while for the sake of trying to save things until the bubble bursts.
I understand feeling like it's all for nothing and the world is totally gone, and I don't necessarily disagree with that. I've just been distracting myself really with things I should have been doing that double as extra protection from clown/communist world. Things like exodus from the "free" services of big tech and protecting parts of my savings from the inevitable inflation that's coming and has already happened. I haven't changed spending habits much yet, but I've always been one to buy stupid shit on a whim anyway, particularly if it's in the sub $500 range. I may adjust some of my savings next year, I used to travel a lot (for fun) and I've totally lost interest. Virus world took 95% of the fun out of it.
Otherwise general day-to-day, I've been playing video games, occasional movies, and I've gotten into anime/manga. The latter was totally unexpected (I used to laugh at the stuff) but it's become a huge breath of fresh air compared to the Netflix world of hour long woke propaganda named after random genitalia.
I'm just sad that we aren't going to accelerate to a proper resolution, and will instead slowly languish as we march towards globalism. We had a chance, and we may have another yet, but the window is closing.
Don't worry acceleration will happen soon whether we want it to or not.
Either Trump wins by exposing the steal and the left forces acceleration via riots the size of which we have never seen before or the left gets away with stealing the election and they force acceleration by going forward with their lists and re-education attempts.
Civil war will likely happen soon.
Civil war without federal legitimacy for my side isn't a place I want to be. That's how we get 70 years of Commie rule.
It's probably more fair to say I'm starting to not play by the system's rules and trying to take steps to detach from it. Not because I necessarily think it will collapse, but because I increasingly have moral and ethical problems working to sustain it.
I totally feel your pain. I feel like it’s a losing battle so I am just enjoying what I can and glad I live in Texas
I'm buying gold because the economy is nowhere out of the woodwork yet, and the monetary system will be reset.
If it's under Trump, we'll probably get some sort of partial change to the currency, but it will only happen after velocity explodes and causes inflation to absolutely spike.
If it's under Biden, he'll crash the economy into a depression, killing off middle and small businesses that would pose a potential threat to all but the largest corporate structures, then use that to introduce a full digital currency through the international banks, have personal control over the economy, and govern all of your habits with entitlement checks that are auto-deposited into your digital wallets in order to compensate for the now permanent runaway inflation. Those entitlements will be tied to your social credit score with his new social justice credit bureau, and the indefinite, but localized, quarantine regulations. (For example, you won't be able to use your digital wallet outside 30 miles from your residence, or something like that. If you're in a lockdown, you just won't be able to spend money unless your purchase is aligned with a good that has been approved as 'essential' by the banks & government). A shadow economy will erupt, and all hell might break loose.
My co-workers laughed and laughed about buying gold. These are the same people who told me we weren't going into a recession as the stock market dropped 400 points every day or every other day. Slow learners, I guess.
How exactly is gold going to help you?
Gold is a long-term store of purchasing power. I have a significant savings. With inflation, that savings will lose is purchasing power. Gold will help to keep it initially. When gold begins to drop in price, I will need to exchange it to another asset to hold it's value.
All I'm saying is... Now's a great opportunity to get into the best shape of your life. Maybe pick up a martial art. Definitely increase the frequency of range visits.
The ultimate trap is letting one's life to orbit around politics. It will drive you insane. Instead, peek at it rarely in a day and find a hobby. Learn to map out the stars, bird watch/listen, learn a new tabletop games. Find something that requires you to get away from any form of social media, perferably one that can get you off the internet.
I'm also kind of done giving a shit at this point. I'll read some books, play some games and I just ordered a boardgame just because it had big titty girl on the the box, although not sure who I can play it with. If civil war comes I'm kind of what ever at this point, the left looks almost invincible. I wish we could get a nation formed on a planet far away that would be somehow anti-woke, and get Mount Rushmore in the divorce, the leftist scum do not deserve it.
