Tbf, it's usually the mayors that don't let them. The police absolutely can and would most of the time.
Defund the mayors. They're clearly incapable of their job (Maying, I presume) if they don't stop their jurisdictions from burning to the ground.
I believe President Trump is looking into just that - he can't withhold state funding, of course, but he can look into getting federal funding withheld from jurisdictions that simply don't bother protecting their citizens from thieves and brigands.
Several states have already pre-emptively sued him over this even though he hasn't done anything yet.
"Defund" is a progressive virtue signal for moral cowards. Refund the mayors/police/courts by letting people keep their money. The people can choose to spend it on private courts and security.
All these people saying "why didn't they use a taser" should be forced to watch a couple of hours of body cam footage.
Tasers are a joke on anybody but people who are already fairly calm: it's hard to hit a moving target, clothes can block them, you only got one shot and people on drugs or adrenaline barely feel them and keep going.
Same with the whole "shoot them in the legs" and "why did they shoot him 10 times". It's hard to hit a moving target and you've only got a second or so until the attacker closes the distance.
No, the problem with a leg shot is that it's still a kill shot.
The idiots who say to shoot them in the legs don't realize that if you hit a large area around the thigh the person is probably going to bleed out.
If you hit the calves depending on the type of bullet, where it hits, etc, it might not do a damn thing to stop the person.
These niggers play too many video games and think you can just aim assist the legs for a cripple debuff or some shit.

This innocent good boy literally chased the police, following them around some parked cars, onto the sidewalk, back into the street etc. The cops spent a while back tracking and trying to keep distance while calling for him to drop the weapon. Then they finally shot him.

I wonder if drawing attention to these events backfires by exclusively showcasing all these armed and violent black criminals. Nobody notices when any other skin color does it.
I’m black and I’ve been saying for years this needs to be exposed (black crime rates and disproportionate amount) in order to actually go after the roots of this ignorant behavior. I’m 40 and it is amazing to me how blacks of my grandparents generation and prior had a stronger work ethic despite actual racism and I never heard my elderly relatives talk about oppression constantly like black kids half my age or more do and 99.9 percent of whites I’ve dealt with have been cool. So I’m not buying the white supremacy/systemic racism nonsense
Your grandparents generation had a protestant work ethic. They knew nobody was going to give them anything if they whined. They either worked and earned something, or starved.
Today blacks know they can bitch and moan and a Jewish woman will shortly be along to give them some of whiety's money.
My mom has said that exact thing. She was born in 1950. She said there was a much stronger work ethic when she was young. Also when schools desegregated when she was a teen a white teacher told her she was too dumb for the class. She used that as motivation to get an A. Nowadays that would be all over Twitter with the usual whiners.
I'd say the riots themselves do way more along those lines. Bumping up the Trump vote in PA...

There are two major reasons I despise these 'BLM' types. One is because they insist on rioting instead of actually protesting. The other, equally important reason, is what exactly are they protesting? It seems to me that they simply want blacks to be able to break the law with impunity.
