Of course they will say "it has always been inclusive/woke". I will say that in my whole life I've never been excluded from a group of comic book fans.....because I was an actual fan and knew my stuff and wasn't demanding everything change to suit me.
Luther was a good show, and they made an original character, but I remember that show was attacked because he wasn't ethnic enough. I've mentioned before that I love pre diversity obsession BBC and will always jump on any older program.
But isn’t the counter argument that due to streaming you’ll never get the numbers like a MASH or Seinfeld finale again? But even with streaming Dr Who used to pull much better numbers. I had co-workers who loved Tenant and Smith and it made them go watch classic Who starting with Hartnell
I notice a lot of people here are no fan of Israel but also don’t act like Palestine is some utopia. I’ve read some unflattering things about the Israeli govt to put it mildly but it is hard for me to take the side of stupid teenage protestors since these are the same people who cheer on blm or think saying that men are not women is genocide. I do believe in free speech as long as you don’t interfere with others. In the flip side these bills opposing antisemitism seem are definitely a violation of free speech
Some of my first memories are my parents watching Dr Who on PBS with Tom Baker. I still need to watch all the classic Who. I watched until second season of Capaldi. I tried giving Jodi a chance but quickly stopped caring. I heard what Timeless Children did and that solidified my decision to stop watching and new Dr Who
Ha! I mean you have honest discussions whether you agree or not. I try to as well
