Christmas is a Western civilization holiday, not just Christian. It has a lot of pagan elements in it, and of course a lot of secular elements from after Christianity. It's no different than an atheist westerner celebrating St. Patrick's, which is also officially a Christian holiday.

Totally agree. It's interesting because I'm an atheist (not by choice, I wish I could be a believing Christian but I feel the evidence disproves it)....but I've always maintained that our society and culture must maintain its Christianity, or at least the facade of such, as a preventative measure to avoid the unpredictably disastrous results of moral relativism, which we are now seeing, and which is a DIRECT result of the decentering and decline of western Christianity with nothing but a void to replace it.
You even had a period of about 20 years (2000-2020) where the moral relativism which filled the void of Christianity resulted in a sort of "secular Christian morality" which prominent atheists falsely claimed had no connection to Christianity, but turns out it was extremely important as a residual effect. But as soon as a new cult (identity politics) was able to fill the void, it did. Human culture is basically incapable at this point of living without a "religion" to give us purpose and moral guidance.
