It was pretty much over for him when he just fell so hard on that Covington incident. It's a shame I never saved it because he deleted soon after. But his reasoning was so stupid, using them being Catholic as why they did their supposed "crime".
I guess it's been like this for years now though. Considering that video Louis (le Vau) did about him.
Seems that everyone wants people to register to vote. Even seeing it from YouTubers that have nothing to do with politics. It's stupid and annoying seeing as a) Not everyone watching is in the US, so of course they aren't going to vote. And b) is annoying to anyone down the line when the election cycle is well over.
Video by LBRY showing that they have been banned from the Google Playstore for "sexual content". A laughable notion seeing what can be seen on apps that are still on the Playstore, like YouTube and Netflix. Examples shown are a film trailer for "Cracka" and a scene from the movie "Cuties".
Sometimes it astounds me how acceptable causal racism towards whites are. Food and dancing are probably the two one I hear the most. Because I guess either things like ballet or the high variety of European cuisine just don't exist in these people's minds.
Well, it's either that, or they just want to make a racist joke without anyone getting all upset about it. So they pick the one race where it's still politically correct to do so.
Now that I think about it, what exactly would anyone find racist about the brand? I mean, it's literally just a black man.
- Since the 1940s, the rice boxes have featured a white-haired Black man, sometimes with a bow tie, an image critics say evokes servitude.
What? There's absolutely nothing wrong with his wear. I think a lot of people would look at it and think it's of high class. Not to mention that there's nothing wrong with a black person portrayed in servitude. Being a servant is very different from being a slave, and both aren't just limited with black people either.
Just for an example, no one looks at Geoffrey from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and thinks the show is racist for portraying a character like that.
They've been regressive for a while now. Since their owner/writers really like to use "xir" type terms in articles.
A real shame about this progressive push back on mary sue. I'll really miss the first half of the 2010s when I was learning to write fiction. Not only was it fun to see how dumb some people wrote characters. But also because of all the unabashed op characters where we made no secret that yes, they are just absurdly strong. Mostly as a joke.
Nowadays, it's a shame with all these "girl power" shills that exist. No one seems to know anymore what makes a mary sue. Because there's more to it, than just simply being overtly strong or capable beyond measure.
Funny enough, I can enjoy those story where the mc is clearly strong just so they can be better than everyone. And not only that, but get all the ladies while doing it. It's so obviously for a power fantasy, yet that's kind of what makes it special. Something just fun for the reader, and maybe self-insert themselves.
Too bad that feminists just ruined that fun. Doing some of the same stuff, but act like they're doing some type of moral good by "inspiring" girls. All while desexifiying those characters and adding on dumb males to make fun of men.
They just miss the point so badly, it's kind of sad. Like, if I read one of those power fantasy type stories, it's clear that they don't hate woman. If anything, the readers are quite fond of them, I might say. Meanwhile, those feminist stories very clearly hate men.
Sorry, I guess this went on for longer than most would care to read. It's just that this has been something that I care deeply about for many years now. So it getting infested with SJWs, which kind of has been for a while now, to be honest. Just gets me feeling a little down about yet another hobby of mine.
It is quite interesting what people are willing to ignore or point out when it fits their own biases. Like with the sexual abuse within the Catholic church, there was a lot of making fun of Catholics. Yet little targeting towards it being mostly homo pedophilia.
- Even more action oriented game play.
I can live with the series going away from turned based, but some people noted that the short combat scenes looked a lot like DMC.
- Lack of party members.
Probably more of what the trailer didn't show. Though Square-Enix has been moving away from other members of the cast being controllable. Such as XIII and XV not having it at launch. This might not be the case, but the trailer didn't aid in those concerns.
- Main character being Noctis 2.0.
Maybe he won't be, since this trailer shows just a couple minutes of the guy at most. However, people aren't looking forward to yet another cold/emo main character.
- The crystals.
This is more considering the crowd we're in, but some did compare to the crystal line they showed in the trailer to remind them of The Last Jedi. I do consider it a little worrisome considering this recent trend of dissing the history of your own franchise. Though seeing as they're still using Chocobos and Shiva, it probably won't happen.
It's mostly just looking at the red flags that were shown in the trailer. Who knows, the game itself could be amazing. I would hope so, since I do enjoy the series. I was even excited for XIII and hopeful for XV, but for myself personally I'd keep expectations in check for this one until it's released.
Unfortunately, Amazon has chosen to get rid of light novels if they contained lolis in them. So I feel it's only a matter of time before they start going for more and more anime related material.
I don't know too much about services that are cheap. I'm pretty sure that a fair bit of legitimate self publishers have costs associated with them. But if it's just ebooks, then it's probably not too high. I'm not sure, but feel free to private message me if you want to talk more about it. This is a topic that I enjoy looking into.
I didn't realize that you wanted to get self-published. That's pretty cool.
In terms of the service, it looked fine when I was looking into it during a period when I wanted to publish my own work. Unless you had any issues with Amazon as a whole, which I assume you don't since you're considering it, then there's nothing that stands out as a bad thing that they offer.
Where are you going to be posting this? Because from my own experience in posting online novels. A lot of my readers are more fans of the type of things that SJW types / propagandists would find abhorrent.
It's a little refreshing, but it can get weird too.
It stands for National Novel Writing Month. It's a non-profit that's holds an annual event to encourage people to write a novel in November. Of course, given its roots in San Francisco, I'm not surprised it's a den for leftists.
In the US, Germans were also subjected to the same deal as Japanese and Italians. Which also happened during not just WWII, but also WWI.
Of course that doesn't get taught at anywhere near the same level (If at all, since I never learned this in school) of the Japanese internment camps, despite being the same thing happening at the same time.
Sheesh, from the reaction. I guess I can assume that all that fawning over that cancel culture letter was a lie.
Honestly though, that's what I should expect from a group that somehow thought Pewdiepie was still based after the ADL incident. I wonder how that ended up?
Never was going to satisfy them regardless of whoever was going to take the position. Aside from if it was a white person, they'd complain about the usual white racism deal. Or if it was with someone not white, we'd get stuff like it's apparently "hypocritical" to do so.
Because the oh-so-good liberals on even this very "sub" used to think so until conservatives proved there were decent people in their ranks.
Man, I sure love that I have to earn that respect that people just give away for free to anyone left-of-center.
It almost seems kind of weird to just have prospered by pointing out things relating to the far left. Yet somehow later siding with it, as if what one took issue with or mocked years ago had nothing to do with that side.
Side tangent, but something I took issue despite agreeing with the point was the outrage towards "Cuties". I don't know why it had to be framed against Americans as a whole. Aside from having plenty of outrage from this country. It wasn't a film made here, it was a French film. Yet I've never heard anyone trash that country over this. Not to mention that the director is an SJW/progressive, and I rarely hear that brought up, even by anti-SJW groups.
